Smile is one of those movies that comes out without making a lot of noise but turns out to be a big surprise. It shows that there are many ways to look at fear and terror.
In the movie, Sosie Bacon plays Dr. Rose Cotter, who has a traumatic experience when she sees a patient commit suicide. You may remember Sosie Bacon from the miniseries Mare of Easttown. But Cotter has to deal with a strange curse that puts everyone around her in danger because of this terrible event.
Smile plays with reality and how people see it. It also wants to make people feel restless and uncomfortable while also making them want to see more and discover what’s happening.
Why do you have to see Smile?
Smile is one of the many horror movies that use “jump scares,” or scares that make you jump out of your seat when you least expect it. But it’s more than that; it’s also a reflection on pain, grief, and trauma, and how they change how we see things.
It’s also mysterious and interesting, and the actors do great jobs, which draws you into the story and makes you want to break the curse to save the characters, like Carl Renken, who is played by the great Jack Sochet.
It is a well-made movie, and it is clear that the filmmakers wanted us to think about fear and uncertainty. They did this by giving us a series of characters who have to go through an impossible situation and meet a mysterious smile that is scary and makes you feel worse the more you look at it.
At least a little of the point is to get us out of our comfort zones and see how strong we are. Now that the movie is available to stream, it’s a good time to get up the nerve to watch it.

For now, the film, which is one of the best horror movies of 2023, can be bought On Demand and rented starting December 7. Since it was made by Paramount, it is likely that it will also be available to stream before the end of the year.
Who Has Been Cast In Smile?
Sosie Bacon, who is the daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, is in the movie Smile. Fans of Scream: The TV Series on MTV will be glad to see Bacon back in the horror genre, this time as a leading scream queen. Jessie T. Usher, who is best known for playing The Flash parallel A-Train on the Amazon Prime show The Boys, has been cast in a supporting role, but he is not shown in the trailer. Gallner has done a lot of horror movies, including The Haunting in Connecticut, A Nightmare on Elm Street in 2010, and Jennifer’s Body, in which he played everyone’s favorite goth boy, Colin Gray. Dr. Morgan Desai is played by Kal Penn, who is known to comedy fans as Kumar from Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle and its sequels. In the trailer, Dr. Cotter is asked questions by Dr. Morgan Desai.
