New movies on Disney plus September 2022 will be celebrated with a lot of big releases, such as a live-action version of a Disney animated classic, a new Star Wars TV series, new adventures from the Mighty Ducks, the return of the Sanderson sisters, Thor’s newest adventure, and behind-the-scenes looks at different Disney+ original projects. Disney+ is the hub for all things Disney and its different branches. As such, it has built a catalog with a wide range of content for people of all ages and tastes, though it mostly has a family-friendly vibe. Every month, Disney+ adds new licensed and original content. In September, some highly anticipated titles will be added to the fun.
Disney+ August movies didn’t get many new TV shows or movies, but it did get Pixar’s Lightyear, Marvel’s She-Hulk, a series of short films starring Groot, a new LEGO Star Wars special, and new episodes of some of its own shows, like High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. When it comes to licensed content, most of what will be added in September is from National Geographic. There will also be sing-along versions of Frozen, Frozen 2, and Coco. However, everyone will be looking forward to Disney+ Day on September 8, when a lot of special content will be added and a number of projects will be released.
Here are our suggestions for new movies on Disney plus September 2022, as well as lists of everything that will be added to the streaming service that month.
The Best New Movies on Disney Plus September 2022
1. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law – Episode 3 – September 1
In “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” the main character, Jennifer Walters, is a single 30-something lawyer who is also a 6-foot-7-inch green hulk with superpowers. Her life is hard because of this. Mark Ruffalo plays Smart Hulk, Tim Roth plays Emil Blonsky/the Abomination, and Benedict Wong plays Wong. All of these actors have been in the MCU for a long time. This movie is top-ranked on the list of New movies on Disney plus September 2022.
2. Siempre Fui Yo, Detrás de la historian – September 2
“Siempre Fui Yo, Detrás de la Historia” is special in which the audience gets to see what goes on behind the scenes of the show and how the actors build their characters. Karol Sevilla and Pipe Bueno talk about how well they work together on screen and how hard it was for Pipe to play a lead role for the first time. Christian Tappan talks about how he handled the challenge of playing “El Faraón.”
3. Elway to Marino – September 2
The 1983 NFL Draft, which changed the league, had a record six quarterbacks taken in the first round, with John Elway going first and Dan Marino falling to 27th.
4. High School Musical: The Musical: The Series – Season 3 – Episode 7 – September 7
The Wildcats go camping at Shallow Lake, a sleepaway camp in California, where they and their fellow campers are ready for a summer to remember, full of romance, late nights, and a taste of the great outdoors. With a high-stakes production of “Frozen” and a drama-filled “docu-series” of the production coming up, the Wildcats will try to show who is “best in the snow” without leaving anyone out in the cold.
5. Thor: Love and Thunder – September 8

Thor: Love and Thunder finds the God of Thunder (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey like none he’s ever been on before: one of self-discovery. But a galactic killer named Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who wants to kill all gods, stops him in his tracks. Thor asks King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) for help to stop the threat. To Thor’s surprise, Jane uses his magic hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor, which he doesn’t understand.
Together, they go on a dangerous trip through space to figure out why the God Butcher is so angry and stop him before it’s too late. The movie showed us as a whole that we were getting tired of Taika Waititi’s tricks. Chris Hemsworth is still Thor, Natalie Portman is back as Jane Foster after almost a decade, the Guardians of the Galaxy are there, and Christian Bale is the bad guy Gorr the God Butcher. What it is, is. It did well in theaters and will now be available to watch online.
6. Pinocchio – September 8
Pinocchio is the latest animated Disney classic to be turned into a live-action movie. He is getting even more like a real boy. Tom Hanks plays Gepetto, and Robert Zemeckis, who directed him in Forrest Gump, Cast Away, and The Polar Express, is his director again. In the cast, there are real boys and girls like Cynthia Erivo, Luke Evans, and Sheila Atim.
Keegan-Michael Key, Lorraine Bracco, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who plays Jiminy Cricket, do voice work. I didn’t realize until I saw the picture above that Pinocchio’s design is the same as it was in the 1940 movie, which is weird and off-putting. This one isn’t going to be in theaters. Instead, it’s going straight to Disney+, which makes me think that the studio heads don’t think people will pay to see it. This is not to be confused with the stop-motion Pinocchio movie that Guillermo del Toro is making and that will be on Netflix in December.
7. Growing Up – September 8
“Growing Up” is an innovative hybrid docu-series made by Brie Larson and Culture. House. It tells ten compelling coming-of-age stories that show the challenges, triumphs, and complexities of adolescence. The series follows a person between the ages of 18 and 22 as they tell their story through narrative, experimental, and documentary filmmaking. They come from a wide range of real-life experiences and tell emotionally powerful stories that give an interesting look at adolescence and the many social, familial, and internal obstacles that young people face on their way to finding themselves and accepting themselves.
In each 30-minute episode, a young person, or “hero,” talks about growing up. Every episode is built around a very personal interview in which our heroes talk about their childhoods and adolescence. Along with these interviews, creative reenactments of their major turning points help bring them to life.
8. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law – Episode 4 – September 8
9. United Sharks of America – September 9
Finding out when beachgoers are most likely to be attacked by a shark by studying shark behavior and the many different species that live along the US coast.
10. High School Musical: The Musical: The Series – Season 3 – Episode 8 (Finale) – September 14
11. Mija – September 14
Doris Muoz and Jacks Haupt, whose parents came to the United States from Mexico, are both working in the music business and are featured in the documentary. Doris and Jack are both trying to support their families and follow their dreams. They talk about how they feel guilty about being the first people in their families to be born in the United States and about the financial risks of following their dreams. For them, the pressure to do well is higher because their family is counting on them to get green cards and bring their family back together.
12. Dancing with the Stars – Season 31 – Episode 1 – September 19
The hit show “Dancing with the Stars” is hosted by supermodel and businesswoman Tyra Banks and actor and TV personality Alfonso Ribeiro. In the show, celebrities are paired with trained ballroom dancers to compete in themed choreographed dance routines that are judged by a panel of well-known ballroom experts like Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough.
13. Dancing with the Stars – September 19
For its first season, the long-running celebrity dance competition moves from ABC to Disney+. Even though it will be on a streaming service now, it will still be shown live. Alfonso Ribeiro, who won Season 19 of Dancing with the Stars, will co-host with Tyra Banks. The actors and actresses will be named at a later time. We still don’t know a lot about how this new version of Dancing with the Stars will work, but here’s what we do know.
14. Star Wars: Andor – Episodes 1, 2 & 3 – September 19
Star Wars: Andor series will look at the Star Wars universe from a different point of view. It will focus on Cassian Andor’s journey to find out how he can make a difference. The series tells the story of how people and planets got involved in the growing rebellion against the Empire. Cassian will start on the path that will make him a rebel hero at a time when danger, lies, and intrigue are everywhere. Because of that one of the best superhero movies on New movies on Disney plus September 2022.
15. Andor – September 21

Remember Rogue One? That was the 2016 Star Wars movie with Felicity Jones about rebels stealing the plans for the Death Star. It wasn’t too bad. It will get a prequel series about rebel pilot and intelligence officer Cassian Andor, played by Diego Luna, as he goes undercover in the Empire to gather information. Even fewer people will like this than Obi-Wan Kenobi, but it might be a little bit better.
16. Saving Giraffes: The Long Journey Home – September 23
As part of a project, giraffes have been brought back to Kenya’s Rift Valley province. When problems arise, animal rights activists, veterinarians, and community leaders must help the small herd.
17. The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers” Season 2 – Episode 1 – September 23
After getting the Mighty Ducks name back last year, our team with heart and their coach Alex Morrow (Lauren Graham) hit the road to go to a tough summer hockey camp in California run by Colin Cole, a charming but tough former NHL player (Josh Duhamel). It’s a place where kids can get good at hockey without having to worry about school. As our Ducks try to stay alive in this very competitive world, they are faced with the question: Is it possible to win summer?
18. Hocus Pocus 2 (Sept. 30)
This sequel, which has been in the works for 29 years, will be the start of this year’s scary season. It’s pretty much the same story as before. Teenagers call up the Sanderson witch sisters (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy) by accident and then try to get rid of them before they cause too much trouble in Salem, Massachusetts. It stars Sam Richardson. Hi, Sam! Nice to see you every time. Because of that one of the best movies on New movies on Disney plus September 2022.
In “Hocus Pocus 2,” three young women accidentally bring the Sanderson Sisters back to modern-day Salem. They then have to figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on the world.
