Motorola Mobility, which Lenovo owns, makes the Moto line of Android phones. The Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra in the Motorola Edge series is aimed at the mid-range and high-end markets. With Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra model, Motorola moves this series into the high-end category. The Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra is this line’s most recent and best phone.
There is a rumor that the Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra is a rebranded version of the X30 Pro, which came out in China on July 30, 2022. The Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra phone arrived in India, Europe, and the UK on September 8, 2022, under its new name. Let’s look at the most important features, pros, and cons of this phone.
Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra with Key Specifications
Design
The new Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra is completely different from the Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra phones that came out at the beginning of the year in terms of how they are put together. This brand-new high-end equipment looks a lot more “edgy.”
The Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra screen is very curved, like the screens on the first Motorola Edge phones. Because of this, the device may have the smallest display bezels of any Motorola phone ever made.
The fingerprint sensor is built right into the screen, and it works perfectly. Above the hole-in-the-back camera is a speaker that can also be used as an earphone. This speaker has a hole that is about as long as it is wide.
The back of the Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra uses Motorola’s most recent design style, which can also be seen on the Neo and Fusion Edge 30 phones. The Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra uses this style of design. This means that the camera module is square and has rounded edges. It also has three camera sensors and a dual-LED flashlight.
Display
The display is a lot like the design in that it does a lot of things right. It is built around a large 6.67-inch OLED screen. It has a fullHD+ resolution, which is pretty standard. However, it has refresh rates of up to 144Hz, which gives you smooth and clear graphics in parts of the interface that support it as well as in games and apps that support it.
It works with HDR10+ and supports 10-bit color, which means it can show more than a billion different colors. That means the screen has a lot of contrast, details, sharpness, and movement.
It does, however, have incredibly small bezels, which are made to look even better by the curves in the glass and the fact that the tiny hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera doesn’t get in the way of anything on the screen.
In terms of software, it runs on Moto’s version of Android 12, which is almost the same version as the Pixel phones made by Google. It’s pretty similar to the “stock” version of Android, but Motorola has made a few changes here and there.
Cameras
When it comes to the number of megapixels counted by its sensors, the Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra is breaking all previous records. The 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor with a width of f/1.9, a length of 1/1.22 inches, and a pixel size of 0.64m does most of the work when it comes to taking pictures of things.
In addition, there is a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 114° ultrawide field of view, 1/2.76-inch, and 0.64m.
What’s more? On the back of the Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra, there is a 12-megapixel Sony depth camera that can do 2x telephoto. It has an f/1.6 aperture and a 1.22m lens.
Front Camera Series
Then there’s the front-facing selfie camera, which has a resolution of 60 megapixels and uses quad-pixel binning for the default images. The sensor has an f/2.2 aperture, 1/2.8-inch lens size, and 0.61m thickness.
The camera captures good skin tones and just a little too much sharpness. The image as a whole is nice, and if you go into the settings for the camera, you can find the UHD mode, which lets you take photos with a lot more information.
Video Shooting Capability
In terms of video, the Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra’s back camera can record up to 8K videos at 30 frames per second and 4K video at 60 or 30 frames per second. It can also record 1080p video with a maximum of 960 frames per second for slow motion.
The front camera can take a maximum of 4K footage at 30fps or 1080p footage at 30fps.
Performance
The Qualcomm Snapdragon SM8475 8+ Gen 1 system-on-chip inside the Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra makes it one of the most powerful phones on the market right now. It has no trouble at all with the standard battery of benchmarking tests. CPU and Adreno 730 GPU work together.
But there are a few areas that could use some work, especially when the smartphone is put through stresses that last for a long time. In the CPU Throttle test, the Edge 30 Ultra performs at a level that is 69% of what it can do at its best. This is shown by the fact that 3DMark’s Extreme Wild Life Stress test gave a stability score of 67.1%.
Even though the phone doesn’t get too hot when running these benchmarks, it seems like some of its performance is being slowed down to keep its temperature from getting too high and becoming dangerous.
Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra comes with 128GB ROM and 8GB RAM, 256GB ROM and 8GB RAM, 256GB ROM and 12GB RAM, and 512GB ROM and 12GB RAM. The storage uses UFS 3.1 technology to move data.

Battery and Charger
The battery in the Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra has a capacity of 4,600 mAh, and it comes with a rapid charger that can put out 120 watts of power. The device can also work with 50W fast wireless charging and 10W wireless charging in the opposite direction.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is known for being a processor that doesn’t use a lot of power. With the clean software that Motorola gives, there shouldn’t be any problems with the battery life of the device.
Conclusion
When it comes to flagship phones, the Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra meets all of the right expectations. It has a powerful CPU, a lot of RAM and storage space, a high-refresh HDR10+ screen, and a camera system that seems pretty good. We don’t know yet if this will lead to a first-rate experience or not.
The device performs as well as or better than expected, and the software is easy to use, which makes the experience even better. The only things to worry about are some throttling that might be visible when loads are put on for a long time and overexposure when pictures are taken in low light.
All in all, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is a great phone that has a sleek look and enough technology.
