Do you know why almost all millionaires wake up early? Even though it’s a common saying that successful people get up early, it’s still true. As with most things in life, successful millionaires follow a pattern. The World’s richest entrepreneurs, founders, and highest paid CEOs have several things in common. The ability to take the right risks and make good choices, of course with a few wrong turns, of course. They are also always interested in learning more so they can know more and do more. Then, they make good use of time literally. They know how to plan their day to get the most out of it. Most of days they work best when they have a routine they can stick to.

But even though most successful millionaires have these qualities and skills or have gotten better at them over time. They almost all have the same basic habit. It’s a habit that’s much easier to get into than others, like making smart choices. It pays off almost right away. This means getting up early every day.

It seems quite simple. There’s a chance that some of you already do it. But consistency is the key. You need to make sure that getting up early is part of your routine. And something you do with enough dedication that you don’t let other things get in the way. You can take days off, rest on Sundays, and other similar things. But getting up early can only make a difference if it becomes a practice.

Why is getting up early so helpful?

There are a few reasons why this is a good habit. The first is that it establishes a sense of control of your mind over your body. When you get out of bed early, rain or shine, it’s because your mind won over your body’s desires. Of course, being really tired is an exception. But most of the time, saying “another five minutes” comes from being lazy or sleepy, not from being tired.

The second reason to get up early is that it gives you more time to get things done during the day. Have you ever noticed that when you have an early flight or meeting, you get more done because you’re up for longer? You can use that extra time to do all the things you usually have trouble getting done. Even getting up an hour earlier can make a difference.

Not only does the morning give you a lot of time, but it also gives you high-quality time. The quiet of the first few hours means there won’t be much to distract you. So you’ll have time to think. Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Cuban all say that they have their best ideas in the morning.

It’s also the best time for two other crucial things. One is — a healthy start and timely brain activation, namely exercising and another thing is — eating a proper breakfast. Exercising in the morning is said to be the most beneficial. Because it opens the mind and jump-starts the calorie burning process. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and most of us tend to rush through it because we are late for work. When you start early, you can plan for both.

So, this is a good start, even though there are many other skills that need to be developed. Set your cell phone alarm an hour earlier each day until you wake up at 6 a.m., and you’ll be on your way to big ideas which pay big later. Best of all, you’ll soon see why getting up early is a good idea.
