This Optimus Human Robot Costs Less Than Tesla Car

Optimus, Elon Musk’s humanoid robot specialized in completing “repetitive and dull” duties for humans, is closer than ever, and the world now has access to the first prototype of his new creation.

Musk debuted his innovation on the sidelines of Tesla’s AI Day, precisely as he promised a few months ago when he announced he would show off a functional prototype of his new product. Not only that, but Tesla’s self-proclaimed Techno-King divulged key information such as the fact that it will be sold for “probably less than 20,000 dollars” and released in three or five years.

During the presentation, two Optimus models were displayed. The first is a disassembled prototype with no exterior casing and all visible cables that can move. His name is Bumble C, and he is a “raw development robot,” according to Musk, who will eventually become what Optimus plans to be.

Optimus will stand roughly 173 centimeters (5 feet 8 inches) tall, weigh around 57 kilograms, and have a payload capacity of up to 20 kg, according to the presentation made during the 2021 AI event.

The same artificial intelligence technologies that Tesla is creating for use in its electric automobiles will control Optimus, which was designed by a team of mechanical, electrical, controls, and software engineers.

People interested and skilled in the creation of Artificial Intelligence, on the other hand, claim it is practically impossible for a robot to complete all human duties by the end of 2023, as Musk estimates.
