Humidity is one of the most common problems in old houses, but that doesn’t mean it never happens in new floors. This condensation problem can turn into a nightmare because it can lead to unsightly mold and fungus stains and the smell of something bad.

Use charcoal
Some natural things that can help you get rid of mold at home are charcoal and chalk, which are great at soaking up water. If you put a few pieces of charcoal on a shelf, you’ll notice that the air becomes dryer and cleaner.
Use salt
You can also use coarse salt to get rid of water from a room. Get a flat container and put a kilogram of this kind of salt in it. Then put it somewhere in the room and leave it for a day or two. After that time, you’ll be able to see that the salt has taken up a lot of the water. Of course, you should change it if you see that it is very wet or has even turned black.
Just use the vinegar
White vinegar is the best thing to use if you want to clean your house without using chemicals that kill mold. This product should be sprayed on wet stains (on walls, tiles, etc.) and left to work for at least 30 minutes. Then rub the surface, wash it, and dry it well. Keep doing this for a few days, or until the stain is gone.
With oil from tea tree
Due to its antifungal properties, tea tree oil is one of the best home remedies for getting rid of dampness and mold. You can find it at herbalists and stores that sell natural products. Put two glasses of water and a tablespoon of tea tree oil into a spray bottle. Spray the mixture on the spots you want to get rid of and wait for it to work.
Baking soda
Baking soda is another very effective thing you can do at home to get rid of humidity. All you have to do is sprinkle it on the spot where the damp stain is and leave it to work all day. Then you’ll just have to take out the remains to see if it has soaked up water and lost its smell.
Don’t go overboard with indoor plants
With the right plants, a room’s air can be cleaned. But if there are too many of the plants inside, the humidity level in the house goes up a lot. Still, some plants, like the Indian laurel or the bamboo palm, can help you avoid having too much humidity in a room if you use them in the right way.
Borax
A cleaning product that has grown in popularity recently is borax. Because of its anti-fungal qualities, it may help eliminate mold that accumulates on walls and tiles in the home and is less aggressive than bleach.
