The Rings of Power: What You Need to Know about Season 2

The first season of The Rings of Power started when Galadriel, the leader of the elves of the north, was on the hunt for Sauron. She traveled all over Middle-earth to show that the enemy had not been defeated and that there were still reasons to fight.

Soon, the series will take us to Nmenor, the most powerful elf kingdom, the dwarven mines of Moria, what seem to be the hobbits’ ancestors, and a place where humans were doomed to fall to the darkness.

Galadriel’s suspicions about Sauron were quickly confirmed, and she convinced the queen of Nmenor to fight with her to protect the world. While this was going on, a Harfoot named Nori found a giant that had fallen from the sky, and the dwarves found a mysterious mineral in its mines that would be the key to saving all the elves.

During the first season, which has one more chapter to go, a lot of things happened, but that’s just the beginning, and it’s full of clues about what will happen next.

When does the Second Season Premiere?

We don’t know when the second part will come out, but we do know that The Rings of Power will have more than one season (there has been talking of having as many as five), and the second is already being made.

All of this points to that battle where Isildur cuts off Sauron’s fingers and lets himself be changed by the ring as the possible end of the series.

Characters

Several characters died in the first part of The Rings of Power, but it is certain that Morfyyd Clark will return as Galadriel, Robert Aramayo will return as Elrond, Ismael Cruz Córdova will return as Arondir, Nazanin Boniadi and Charlie Vickers will return as Bronwyn and Halbrand, Markella Kanevagh will return as Nori, Tyrone Muhafadin will return as Theo, and anyone

Many other characters from the first season, like the queen of Nmenor, Durin and Disa, Poppy and Adar, are also expected to be in the second season. We will also see some new faces, but nothing has been said about them yet.

We can assume that Saruman and Gandalf will show up at some point, but it might not be for a long time, once Sauron and Mordor are well-established and the rings reach their rightful owners (which means we’ll see the 9 humans who become the Nazgul).

What is the Second Season of The Rings of Power about?

In the first season, Mordor was created and the alliance between humans and elves (at least between Halbrand, Galadriel, and Queen Mriel) was strengthened. All of this points to a big battle in the future.

We don’t know much more about The Stranger or the three mysterious people who are after him, but we do know that the rings will be made and given to their owners at some point.

Screen Rant says that the second season, which is almost over, will have an epic battle that will last for two chapters. This battle will likely involve the return of the army of Nmenor and a fight against the orcs, who want to take over all of the Southlands and kill all of the people who live there.

And if Annatar (Sauron) isn’t revealed in the first season, it’s likely to happen in the second, leading Celeborn to use Mithril to make the rings of power.
