The Rings of Power: How Mordor is Created?

In The Rings of Power, when the Hall of Law showed up, many important facts came to light.

Galadriel finds out from the documents in that place that the mark Sauron left on his brother’s body is not just a sign of his evil or a sign that he existed. She also learns that Morgoth left instructions for his followers in case he died and that Halbrand is not exactly a normal person.

Galadriel is in Nmenor trying to convince the queen to let her go to Middle-earth. While she is there, Arondir, who has been captured by the orcs, finds out that they are working for a mysterious man they call “Adar”, which means “father”. They are making hundreds of prisoners dig tunnels and paths, but they don’t tell them much about what they are doing or where they are going.

All of this proves that Galadriel was right to think that Sauron was back. Not only is he back, but he also has a plan that, as any Tolkien fan can guess, will change the fate of Middle-earth for good.

A lost map

The symbol that Sauron leaves everywhere, like on the stone altar that the elves found at the beginning of the series, is not just a mark or a warning to those who are against Sauron. Galadriel figures out that it is a map of the Southlands, where Arondir and Bronwyn found that something is wrong with the cattle and where the orcs later attacked them.

The Hall of Law documents say that the map points to a place in Middle-earth where evil can grow and thrive. Sauron, who is Morgoth’s son and heir, will try to set up his own evil kingdom there.

Who lives in Mordor?

The document, which was written by a human spy, talks about a kingdom that doesn’t exist yet. However, it looks like Adar and his orcs are heading there, and it’s clear that they want to make what The Lord of the Rings calls Mordor.

Sauron chose the Southlands because it is surrounded by mountains that protect it and make it hard to get to. It also has a powerful volcano called Mount Doom, which is also a key part of Sauron’s plan.

On these lands, cities like Minas Ithil grew up. Minas Ithil was built by Isildur, but the Nazgul and Sauron’s armies took it over in the end.

The creation and destruction of the rings

Sauron doesn’t just want to build his own realm by coming to Mordor. He also wants to be able to control more of Middle-earth and have more power over its people.

We know that he makes his ring of power there, on Mount Doom, in secret while Celebrimbor makes the others including 3 secret rings for the elves. The ring is magically linked to the others. It quickly changes men into bad people, makes dwarves more greedy, and has different effects on elves.

The ring can only be made in a place where evil is strong, and only the fire from Mount Doom can help make it and also destroy it. Gandalf tells Frodo that the ring can only be destroyed in the same place where it was made. This is why, so many years later, the Fellowship of the Ring marches to that place to stop the fight that is about to start in The Rings of Power.
