The Amazon series was directed by the Spanish Juan Antonio Bayona. It was shot in New Zealand, where the movies were also shot, and the first pictures show that it has epic scenes, sets that leave you speechless, and all the details you need to go back to Middle Earth.

The Lord of the Rings series tries to recreate the settings, battles, creatures, and characters from Tolkien’s famous books. With Peter Jackson’s movies as a model, they hope to make something that looks better than other fantasy shows like Game of Thrones, The Witcher, etc.

Already, people have high hopes for the Lord of the Rings books especially with the Game of Thrones prequel on the horizon. Amazon said more than a year ago that they had bought the rights to the Lord of the Rings books and that they planned to turn them into a new epic series for movie fans. Amazon had to pay more than $200 million to get the rights, and they also said that after doing the math and taking into account the costs of production, the Lord of the Rings cast and crew, and special effects, the series will cost more than $1 billion.

A report says that the first season of the show will cost around $465 million, which is 4 times more than what HBO paid to make the seasons of Game of Thrones each one cost 100 million. Stuart Nash, the country’s Minister of Economic Development and Tourism, told Morning Report today, “I can tell you that Amazon will spend about $650 million on season 1 alone.” “This is really great. This is going to be the most popular TV show ever made.”

The epic production will take us back to the world that Tolkien created in his Lord of the Rings books, and fans already know enough about it to be excited about what is sure to be one of the best Amazon series.

The first images

The first picture in the series doesn’t say much, but it takes us back to Middle-earth, where we see what looks like an elf looking at the legendary city from afar.

What is the story of The Lord of the Rings?

Amazon just put out the official synopsis, which gives a lot of information about the story and the characters.

“Amazon Studios’ new show will be the first time that heroic stories from Middle-mythical earth’s Second Age will be shown on TV. Set thousands of years before the events of JRR Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings,” this epic drama will take viewers back to a time when great powers were made, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were put to the test, hope hung by a thread, and the greatest villain in all of Tolkien’s writings threatened to cover the whole world in darkness. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows a group of old and new characters as they try to stop evil from coming back to Middle-earth. From the deepest parts of the Misty Mountains to the elves’ capital of Lindon and the beautiful island kingdom of Nmenor, these kingdoms and characters will leave behind things that will last long after they are gone.

The summary says that they will take us back to when the rings of power were made, so the powerful villain they are talking about could be Sauron, who is in both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings movies. theRings.

Will we see some of the characters from the movies?

The show doesn’t take place at the same time as the movies, but there are rumors that three well-known characters will show up in the story.

TheOneRing.Net says that Galadriel, Sauron, and Elrond will be in the series. Earlier reports said that actress Morfydd Clark will play a younger version of Galadriel. This confirms that many of the characters from the movies who aren’t immortal elves won’t show up here.

The series takes place during the Second Age of Middle-earth, which was only touched on briefly in the movies. It shows important events like the rise and fall of Nmenor, the making of the Rings of Power, and the formation of the Last Alliance, so we can see how Sauron became the most powerful villain.
