Solar Eclipse 2022: When, Where and How to See it?

solar eclipse 2022

The world is getting ready to see the next solar eclipse, a spectacular astronomical event that will be visible in some parts of the world at the end of October.

Here, we tell you when it will be shown and how you can watch it. We also tell you about the solar eclipse that will happen next year.

When will the Solar Eclipse 2022 happen?

On October 25, between 3 and 6 a.m., there will be the next solar eclipse. Since it’s only a partial eclipse, it won’t be totally dark. On October 25, between 3 and 6 a.m., the next solar eclipse of 2022 will happen.

People from where will be able to see the next Solar Eclipse?

There are ways to watch the eclipse live. There will be places in Asia, Europe, and Africa where people can see it.

How to live stream the 2022 solar eclipse?

The internet is another safe way to watch the eclipse. NASA will have a live broadcast on its YouTube channel that will explain everything about the event.

When will there be a solar eclipse with a ring?

On October 14, 2023, the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth will all be in the right place for an annular solar eclipse over the Yucatan Peninsula and a partial solar eclipse over the rest of Mexico.

On May 10, 1994, was the last time people in Mexico could see a solar eclipse. Back then, information campaigns were run so that people could enjoy the solar eclipse without risking their eyesight. The same will happen this time.

What is a Solar Eclipse, and how often do they happen?

When the Moon comes between the Earth and the Sun, it blocks the Sun’s light from reaching the Earth. This is called a solar eclipse. This happens when the three stars are in the right place.

A solar eclipse happens when the Moon moves between the Earth and the Sun. This line-up happens at the same time as the new moon and shows that the Moon is very close to the ecliptic plane. Eclipses can be total, where the Moon blocks out all of the Sun’s light, annular, or partial, where only part of the Sun is blocked.

If the Moon’s orbit was perfectly round, it was closer to Earth, and it was on the same orbital plane, then every new Moon there would be a total eclipse. But because the moon’s orbit is tilted 5.24 degrees with respect to Earth’s, its shadow does not usually fall on the whole planet. During a new moon, a solar eclipse can only happen if the Moon is close to the ecliptic plane.

So, for the two events to happen at the same time, certain conditions must be met. This is because the Moon crosses the ecliptic at its nodes twice every draconic month, but every synodic month there is a new moon. So, there are only a few times when two to five solar eclipses happen, with a maximum of two total eclipses.

Total eclipses are rare because the Moon, the Sun, and an observer on Earth have to be in the right place at the right time during a new moon.

How to see a Solar Eclipse without hurting your eyes?

Solar eclipses are amazing to watch, but they can be very bad for your eyesight if you look at them directly without protection. This is because the sun gives off very strong radiation that can damage the retina in a very short amount of time and cause conjunctivitis and keratitis. to the point where it burned the macula.

If you want to make sure you don’t miss the solar eclipse, experts say you should:

Using solar eclipse glasses: This is the most common way, but there are risks involved. These glasses are made so that you can see eclipses. You can buy them at eye doctors’ offices and online.

Welding filters is a cheap and easy way to do it. Just remember that only filter number 14 will work. If you don’t know the reference number for a welding filter, don’t use it.

Using a projection system: If done and used right, this is a very safe way to look at something from a distance. Use a small, flat mirror that is completely covered with paper and has a hole cut out of it that is less than 1 cm in diameter. Do not look at the image of the Sun in the mirror. Instead, look at the image that is being projected.

Even with these tools, it’s important to note that the Sun shouldn’t be seen for more than 30 seconds.

What shouldn’t you use to look at a Solar Eclipse?

If you want to see the solar eclipse, don’t use cameras, binoculars, tinted glass, tinted filters, or color film.

Don’t forget that you can’t use regular sunglasses or make your own filters to protect yourself from the radiation that the Solo gives off during the cosmic event.
