Bill Gates Shares What was His First Resume in 1974

Bill Gates never says something that makes people feel nothing, but this time, everyone was impressed by what he said.

The co-founder of Microsoft, who is one of the world’s richest, most powerful, and influential people, showed his resume from when he was 18 and in his first year at Harvard University. The document gives a unique look at one of the early parts of his wildly successful career.

Dated 1974, Bill Gates first resume shows his education and work experience since he was a student. However, despite being young, Gates already had a lot of knowledge in the field of computing and many professional goals. For example, he said he earned $12,000 for his work, which would be about $75,000 today.

Gates, who is a humble man, posted the resume online with the following caption:

“Even if you didn’t finish college, I’m sure your resume looks better than mine did 48 years ago,” the businessman wrote although he was probably referring to appearance, because in experience nothing to tell him.

Bill Gates first resume begins in a strange way by saying that he is willing to talk about salary and move if necessary. Also, it’s strange that the self-made billionaire talked about his height (1.77 meters), weight (59 kilograms), and the fact that no one depended on him.

Later, he writes “Systems analyst or systems programmer” as his goal, since he said he was in his first year at Harvard University at the time, which he would leave a year later.

From there, Gates talks about his skills and knowledge. He says that he knows a lot about computers and programming languages like Fortran, Cobol, Algol, and Basic.

It also talks about his experience with systems programming at TRW Systems Group and, as if that weren’t enough, a student achievement that has never been done before: creating a Fortran-language homework project for private schools that made him $10,000, which is about $60,000 today.

For someone who is 18 years old, the above is just amazing.

“When I was 20 years old, I stopped listening to music and watching TV. “It sounds crazy, but I did it because I thought it would take my mind off of software,” the billionaire wrote in an old blog post. A statement that makes a lot of sense in light of this news and shows how much he wants to succeed. Here is a guide with the mistakes you should avoid to be successful according to Bill Gates.

Most interestingly, Gates talks about his relationship with Paul Allen, a childhood friend and co-founder of Microsoft. With Allen, Gates created a “system for traffic engineers to study traffic flow,” which helped them build the company that put them at the top of the tech industry.

Bill Gates is the fourth richest person in the world, with a net worth of over $100 billion. He is a great example for young entrepreneurs all over the world.

Because of this, his followers were very impressed by the first post he made on the social network. They thanked him for the gesture and, of course, couldn’t believe how smart he was at such a young age.

Gates is still enjoying his retirement, and he isn’t afraid to share his wisdom with people who follow him on social media, whether it’s here, on Twitter, or in his popular Q&A sessions on Reddit.
