Upcoming Hollywood Movies Release Dates in 2022

Upcoming Hollywood Movies

The year of 2022 will be the year of Hollywood movie sequels. For years, franchise films have dominated movie theaters, but the pandemic has compressed the previous two years’ worth of blockbusters into one bonanza year at the box office.

These are the most recent release dates for upcoming Hollywood movies in 2022 hitting theaters and streaming services and beyond.

Among the superhero films hitting theaters later this year are Black Panther, Thor: Love and Thunder, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. There are also new films in older franchises, such as Jurassic World: Dominion and Avatar 2: The Way of Water. Fortunately, there will also be original films, such as Jordan Peele’s Nope, Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, and an incredible cast of massive stars in Amsterdam.

However, delays continue to occur: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the Mario film, The Rock’s Black Adam, Aquaman 2, and The Flash have all been postponed, while Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 7 and 8 have been pushed back multiple times.

It’s been difficult to keep up with all of the changes to the movie schedule during the pandemic, from the start of everything getting canceled to the delta variant and then the omicron surge. However, we have the most recent US theatrical and streaming movie release dates for 2022 covered. If these dates are still subject to change, we’ll keep you updated as new dates are announced.
