Top 7 Google Chrome Extensions for Netflix

Netflix continues to be the most popular streaming service in the world, with 209 million subscribers (Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ are second and third, respectively, with 175 million and 103.6 million customers). However, after more than 18 months of social isolation, remaining indoors, and binge-watching TV, the app’s vast library might become tedious.

Fortunately, you may spice up your viewing experience by using additional tools. Here are seven Chrome extensions that will elevate Netflix for you, whether you’re tired of mindlessly scrolling through the home screen to find a new comfort show now that The Office is gone, or if you’re tired of Googling reviews to make sure you won’t ruin a hook-up by watching something depressing.

 1. Teleparty

During the pandemic, the software formerly known as Netflix Party carried social interactions. Teleparty is a Chrome extension that allows users in different regions to watch Netflix, Hulu, HBO, and Disney+ movies and series in sync. Simply ensure that everyone in the party is signed up to both Teleparty and Netflix, then distribute the party link and begin watching together.

2. Netflix Streaming

Have you ever wished you could lie down and watch TV? The good news is that you can, even if you’re a chronic recliner or simply tired. Netflix Flip allows you to flip your viewing window without physically tilting your screen or contorting yourself into weird positions only to watch TV while lying sideways.

3. No Netflix Originals-

Netflix’s habit of prioritizing its original content over other TV episodes and movies in its collection is tiresome, and it irritates users who want to find new stuff without being spoon-fed by Netflix and nothing else. Netflix cannot promote its own programming on the home screen or in recommended queues if No Netflix Originals is enabled.

4. Netflix Hidden Category

Tired of scrolling aimlessly through Netflix’s suggested movies? Netflix categorizes its content into hyper-specific genres but does not show them to users. Some Netflix subscribers compiled a detailed list of the codes that Netflix uses to organize its material, allowing users to search for them on the home screen. You may completely avoid this step by using Netflix Hidden Category, which allows you to search through hyper-specific categories such as “Scary Cult Movies from the 1990s” and “Showbiz Movies Based on Real Life.”

5. Trim

In 2018, Netflix erased user reviews to deter fans from undermining new releases by giving them low ratings. Users must conduct their own research or install Trim, a plugin that displays IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes scores for Netflix and Amazon Prime video. The addon may also “trim” recommended content so it isn’t displayed on Netflix, as well as filter out movies with low ratings.

6. Wachee VPN

Unfortunately, not all shows and films are available in all countries. Netflix has identified customers who use standard VPNs to access restricted content and now displays an error message instructing them to disable their proxy. Netflix, according to Wachee, would not block its VPN, allowing users to stream any Netflix video from anywhere in the world. The base plan is free, however, Wachee charges a subscription fee to stream in greater video quality.

7. Language Reactor

Active listening is one of the most effective ways to learn a new language, and viewing movies or TV episodes in a foreign language can be useful when you can’t always speak with a native speaker. Language Reactor enhances Netflix by adding dual language subtitles and a popup dictionary, as well as more accurate playback controls. It’s also compatible with YouTube.
