Pierce Brosnan played James Bond in GoldenEye, which came out almost 30 years ago. He brought Agent 007 back to the 1990s. Sean Connery is the best James Bond because he was the first one. Ian Fleming didn’t want him to play the role, but he managed to change his mind and win over millions of fans around the world. Second on the list is Daniel Craig, who played Bond in a way that was different from what we had seen before. He brought the agent into the 21st century without changing who he was.

Connery and Craig will probably always be the most popular James Bonds, but there is another actor who did great things with the role. He may not be the best, but he is definitely the coolest. Pierce Brosnan came after Timothy Dalton into the world of James Bond.

Pierce Brosnan’s background was very different, but it gave him more room to play with the character, try out different styles, and show that it was a good idea to give him the role again. Brosnan put on the suit, watch, and weapons of the most famous MI6 agent, and everything was perfect. This was an actor who, off-screen, had the same charm as the famous movie spy. That’s why, he is the best James Bond actor.

GoldenEye won over a new generation of fans who were too young to have seen Sean Connery in the theater and didn’t really want to watch the movies their parents liked. We can say that this was the first step that led Bond to where he is now, with Daniel Craig and the search for his replacement.

Is Pierce Brosnan the best James Bond actor? Yes, and we can show it.

The only actor who had two chances to be Bond

Pierce Brosnan was supposed to play Bond before Timothy Dalton, but he had another job at the time and couldn’t do it. When it was time to pull it out, the studio went back to Brosnan, and this time he said yes.

This is the only time that Bond has asked the same actor to play a role more than once.

IMDb says that GoldenEye, Brosnan’s first film as Bond, was the first to have a story that wasn’t based on any of the books. This showed that there were many more things that could be done with the character and that changes could be made to fit the situation. Because of this, Brosnan had the chance to take the character in any direction he wanted.

IMDb also says that it is “the first James Bond movie to be made after the fall of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War, and the first Bond movie to be shot in the traditional country” of the Russian espionage genre, which is St. Petersburg.

An icon of style on and off the screen

Pierce Brosnan was already a style icon outside of the movies. His looks were widely copied in the 1990s and set the trend, so it wasn’t a big surprise that Bond’s suits and costumes fit him perfectly. Not only did this Bond wear suits, but he also got to spend time on the beach. There, he wore open shirts with colorful prints and shorts, but he still managed to look classy and elegant.

Pierce Brosnan has the highest death count

Bond By Numbers and Screen Rant say that Pierce Brosnan’s James Bond has the highest number of kills in movies. Also, he is the best James Bond actor. Brosnan killed 135 bad guys, and Roger Moore came in second with 90. Not only has he been the most dangerous Bond, but he’s also the one who has traveled the most. Hey, at least he’s not the most drunk.

Upgraded the cars

In the early movies, Bond drove a lot of Aston Martins and old cars, but Pierce Brosnan got something different. He used the first BMW in a James Bond movie. The Hollywood Reporter and IMDb say that this proved how popular the character was because sales of that model, the Z3, went through the roof after people saw it.

His relationship with M.

Brosnan also got Judi Dench to play the first female version of M in the movies. This changed the dynamic a little, but it ended up making the characters work well together, which is why the change was kept in the movies. Though Pierce Brosnan is the best James Bond actor, he showed that Bond’s relationships with the women in his life could be very different.
