We may not know exactly what will happen with the iPhone 14, but we do know that it’s already in development and could feature a number of interesting modifications.

Apple’s goal is to continue to innovate and improve over time, and the company is rumored to be working on ways to reduce production costs without sacrificing quality (which is why it now manufactures its own chips), so experts who are dedicated to analyzing everything the company does believe that the next smartphone in the family could contain some interesting information.

When will the iPhone 14 be available?

According to What HiFi, the new iPhone could be released in September of this year, although no official date has been confirmed.

What models will you have?

As reported by Mac Rumors: “We anticipate four new iPhones with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays. Two of these iPhones, iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max, will be standard, more affordable models, while the other two, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, will be high-end “Pro” models “.

The processor

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 14 Pro will feature the powerful A16 Bionic chip, whereas the iPhone 14 will feature the A15 Bionic chip, which is currently utilized in the iPhone 13 and iPhone SE 2022. It indicates that the phone will be significantly more powerful than previous models.

Longer battery life

The replacement of Samsung’s 5G chips with those of TSMC, according to a recent rumor about the iPhone 14, will make this the smartphone with the longest battery life.

According to a report from Taiwan’s Economic Daily News, the chipmaker TSMC will be the new supplier of the 5G chips that Apple will install in the iPhone 14; these chips are more advanced and have a more efficient 6nm design. Moreover, it is rumored that the new iPhone will support Wi-Fi 6E, which is another rumor surrounding the device.

Will the iPhone be cheaper?

One of the earliest rumors about the new iPhone is that it will be the most affordable. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that Apple will release two new iPhone 14 models with screen sizes of approximately 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches, respectively.

It is rumored that its most powerful models cost less than $900, which is less than current models with greater capacity. And this does not imply a reduction in the capacities, memory, or performance of the phones.

Analysts predict that the iPhone 14 could cost $800, the iPhone 14 Max could cost $900, the iPhone 14 Pro could cost $1,000, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max could cost $1,100, but nothing has been confirmed officially.

In contrast, Tom’s Guide reports that other sources indicate the price will increase by an additional $100 compared to its current level.

Goodbye iPhone Mini

According to reports, there will be two distinct Pro models, but the iPhone 14 will mark the end of the mini version.

Changes in design and colors

According to Tom’s Guide, the lilac color will return, but a sky blue tone will be added to replace the current blue on some phones. This will be in addition to the classic colors.

According to Foxconn, the new iPhone will be thicker, allowing the cameras to no longer protrude from the back. It will also feature titanium bars on the sides and volume buttons with a retro design. In addition, it is rumored that in place of the Notch, the new design will feature a circular hole for the camera and a pill-shaped hole for facial recognition.

On the other hand, Kuo was quoted by multiple media outlets as saying that the phones could feature a fingerprint sensor under the display, as well as a new 48MP wide camera upgrade.

In addition, this version of the iPhone is rumored to eliminate the obnoxious notch and replace it with a “perforated screen” similar to those found on Android smartphones in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Other analysts, such as Mark Gurman and John Prosser, believe that the iPhone 14 could be an update of the iPhone 4 (with the rounded buttons), taking some elements of its original design, and that one of the biggest changes will be that the camera will no longer protrude from the back of the phone, so it will be thicker than usual.

And according to experts, this phone will have a significantly more powerful battery (which is something that will be possible thanks to the phone being thicker). Gurman indicated that the design will be significantly different, and the elimination of the notch is only a small part of what will occur.

Now that Apple has begun introducing new color options, it is rumored that the iPhone 14 will feature two exclusive new hues. However, the nature of these hues has not been disclosed.

Currently, the iPhone has a display resolution of 1,170 pixels per inch, but that could increase to 1,440 pixels per inch, matching even its most basic competitors. The iPhone 2022 could also reintroduce Touch ID by incorporating a fingerprint sensor into the display.
