Reports first came out more than a year ago that Apple was working on a device called the Apple Watch Pro, which, in keeping with the company’s product naming tradition, would be an upgraded, more feature-rich version of the smartwatch. Since then, there have been more and more rumors, and experts now think that this device will come out soon, maybe at the same time as the next watch in the line.
Apple Watch Pro: an improvement
We would expect that the Apple Watch Pro says it would be a more powerful version of the basic smartwatch, given its name. Reports say that the device will look different, have a much stronger battery, and last longer.
Mark Gurman, a Bloomberg insider who often breaks news about new Apple gadgets, says that this watch could come out at the same time as the upcoming Apple Watch Series 8, but with a different design that would set it apart from anything Apple has ever made and could get rid of the square shape. But there are a lot of questions about it because it has been said that it won’t be round. This leaves us with few options, and another geometric shape would be a bit strange even a hexagon sounds weird for Apple. Maybe the design is square and doesn’t have any of the things on the outside that the current watch has.
In reality, this watch is probably going to be bigger than the Apple Watch, but it would still have to be light. With this screen, you can expect a higher resolution and a good picture in a wide range of situations.
On the other hand, the current Apple Watch is made of aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel. It is said that the Pro version will have a mix of titanium, which will make it much more resistant to shocks and make it last longer.
As for the battery, Apple hopes to make it much better because it wants to be the brand that “extreme sports” athletes trust. But not much is known about this, except that there will be a “low consumption” mode that, when turned on, will make the device save money by letting it go for several days without being charged and without limiting access to apps or connectivity.
Aside from that, it’s also expected to have features like the body temperature gauge that was rumored before. It won’t be a thermometer, but it could let you know if your temperature is higher than usual. And, of course, more sensors and options that help athletes or sportspeople, like a blood pressure or glucose meter, are likely to come out.
Many of the features rumored for the Apple Watch Series 8 could be on the Pro. This makes it hard to say how different the two will be.
In fact, we should keep in mind that the name “Apple Watch Pro” hasn’t been confirmed yet, and neither has the device’s existence. This means that the name could change in the future.
