How to Become an Azure Architect?

It’s no surprise that companies are looking to hire cloud architects. The bigger the business, the greater the demand. The growth of the cloud services market will continue for a year. Gartner has been looking at continued growth in the cloud division. We have two major players in the market, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. Azure’s market share grew year over year. Demand for Azure Architects also increased during the year. Yes, AWS dominates this market, but in the last three years, Azure is becoming the new cloud market. More and more projects are underway on Azure. Now, one of the biggest gaps in the industry is in skills in the cloud. The lack of knowledge and skills on cloud platforms widens the gap between supply and demand. Knowing Azure management is not enough, and you also need to be an expert in designing and implementing solutions on Azure.

Companies are looking for people who are good at:

  1. Meeting customer needs. Deploy the application in the right way to minimize outages and reduce costs. Cost is an important factor in any organization. You can use the right deployment patterns to reduce costs. Cloud hosting can reduce capital investment instead of investing in new hardware.
  2. Keeping up with technology.

The cloud platform is constantly introducing new features. Companies are more likely to adopt newer technologies when using cloud-based services. Thus IT professionals must become familiar with all cloud-based platforms. The demand is there. You have to be above the technology. You need to leverage requirements. Cloud architects are in high demand. It is the third most in demand job in 2020. Companies looking for projects with IT professionals in Azure, these professionals need to have the necessary certification for Azure, then they can demonstrate their skills as a sky-blue architect. Cloud architects tend to have a strong understanding of cloud platforms. They can pave the way for deploying the right architecture on the cloud platform.

Being an architect in sky blue means a thorough understanding of various aspects, such as: Monitor your Azure infrastructure, learn how to configure key metrics and logging for resources deployed on the Azure platform, know how to use various aspects of Azure storage accounts, configure high availability for virtual machines, build resource implementation network architectures using Azure Explorer templates, learn how to use Azure Active Design identity and security in Directory, know how to set up environments that need to connect to the local environment, network storage and security for workloads on Azure, implement backups for infrastructure hosted on Azure, use Azure Web Apps, Azure functions and Azure Logic applications implement solutions, deploy container-based environments using Azure Kubernetes, deploy Azure Cosmos DB Azure Data stores such as SQL databases, learn how to design a business continuity strategy for your company, and understand best practices for designing workloads to deploy to Azure migrations. The official Microsoft learning path for Azure Solutions Architect is as follows: You need to pass two certification exams

AZ-303: Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies: The exam focuses on how to use technology on Azure. Before you can take this exam, you need to understand how to build applications. It also checks your ability to deploy your application using Azure services, key service IT tests including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure SQL databases, and Azure storage accounts.

AZ-303-Azure Architect Technologies- Update 2020 AZ-304: Microsoft Azure Architect Design.

This exam focuses on designing applications and infrastructure. You need a firm understanding of the service first. Then use these services to start designing the application architecture.

The role-based path is the best way to become an Azure architect. It is valuable for any IT professional to have this certificate. To do this, you need to ask yourself the following questions:
