How to Catch Early Covid-19 Symptoms in Children
The United Nations Children’s Fund points out that, while children are not the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, they are among its most vulnerable victims since their lives are being affected in fundamental ways as a result of this global disaster, and the impact on some children will be lifelong.
“All children, of all ages and in all countries are affected, in particular by socio-economic repercussions and, in some circumstances, by mitigation actions that may unwittingly do more harm than good,” UNICEF claimed in its statistics. “Moreover, the pandemic’s detrimental consequences will not be distributed evenly,” the research stated. They are projected to be the most harmful to children in the poorest countries and neighborhoods, as well as those who are already disadvantaged or vulnerable.”
Since many children were infected with the deadly coronavirus during the second wave of the pandemic, it is critical for parents to be aware of the symptoms and seek medical help as soon as possible. “It (Covid-19 infection) starts off with milder symptoms in youngsters but it gets severe if it’s not taken seriously,” says Dr Nishant Bansal, Consultant Neonatologist at Motherhood Hospital in Noida.

Inflammation throughout the body has been observed to be a big worry, sometimes for several weeks after they were infected with the virus. “In children, this is known as multisystem inflammatory syndrome” (MIS-C). Doctors are still investigating how these symptoms are linked to the coronavirus epidemic, according to Dr. Nishant Bansal.
“If your child has MIS-C, he or she may have trouble breathing, chest pain or pressure, pale lips or cheeks, confusion, or difficulty staying awake,” he continued. These signs should not be overlooked, and the child should be sent to the hospital. It has been seen that those children improve after hospitalization and, in certain cases, ICU admittance.”
He revealed that the additional symptoms of MIS-C include:
1. Fever
