Do You Know What Rules Make Richest People Productive?

Who doesn’t want to be more productive ? We all want to get more done in the work day, get more things done, and solve more problems, but without having to spend extra hours stuck in the office or glued to a computer.

Being productive is not about being a slave to the office, but about making better use of your time so that you can have a balance, finish everything you have to do, but without sacrificing your rest time and without reaching the point where you work. 24/7 and you are dangerously close to the field of burnout and mental exhaustion.

Everyone has the same number of hours in the day, so being productive is important, and the likes of Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and many of the world’s richest and most successful men have found ways to make the most of that. that allows them to develop ideas, make proposals and take on several projects at the same time, without dying in the attempt.

Elon Musk’s schedule-based priorities

Supposedly, Musk has every minute of his day planned , this allows him to know what the most important and urgent points are, so he can start with them and give them the attention they need, and he only moves on to the next task once the previous one is finished. In addition, with this he can also know what things can be deleted so as not to waste time on them.

“Don’t waste your time on things that don’t really make things better,” he wrote in 2014.

Jack Dorsey and the alternative for boards

According to a Harvard Business School study, meetings kill productivity and prevent people from getting their work done on time, so Dorsey who was CEO of Twitter and is CEO of Square, decided to implement an interesting method.

Instead of meetings, he has a document on Google, and he designates 10 minutes in the morning that he and his team should read and collaborate on it right there. In 2018, Dorsey wrote that: “This practice creates time for everyone to get on the same page, allows us to work from many places, and gets to truth/critical thinking faster.”

Jeff Bezos and quick decisions

In a letter to his shareholders in 2016, Jeff Bezos explained that speed is very important in business, so you have to learn to make fast and quality decisions, with only the basic and essential information.

“Most decisions should probably be made with about 70 percent of the information you want to have. If you wait 90 percent, in most cases, you’re probably being slow,” he said.

What Bezos is saying is that many decisions are reversible, so it’s important to be quick, because you can always correct your mistakes later.

Warren Buffett, Steve Jobs’ importance of “No”

Jobs said that the main key to being productive is learning to say “no”. This is because, you will have to divide your attention, time and energy between many things. Sometimes you have to reject ideas, proposals or requests in order to do things right.

For his part, Warren Buffett once said that “the difference between successful people and really successful people is that really successful people say ‘no’ to almost everything.”

Bill Gates’ meditation

Meditation is part of the daily routine for Gates and many other successful entrepreneurs, as it helps reduce stress, improve concentration and exercise the mind. Gates says that he meditates 2-3 times a week and this helps him to understand his ideas and to find better solutions to the problems that arise and 10 minutes is enough.
