How Sharmaji Namkeen was Completed After Rishi Kapoor’s Death
Rishi Kapoor’s final picture could have been a masterpiece in the making. That, however, is not the case. After Rishi Kapoor’s death, Paresh Rawal filled his role in Sharmaji Namkeen, making this film possible. Soon, the trailer will be released. The Kapoor family has come together in an unconventional way to announce this on social media. Rishi Kapoor’s wife, Neetu Kapoor, has uploaded a video in which their son, actor Ranbir Kapoor, discusses the making of the film. He starts off by saying, “Hello there. I’m here to tell you about something that makes Sharmaji Namkeen so unique. Yeh mere papa ki final film hai kyuki yeh mere khaas sirf iss liye nahi hai. But papa believed in the story [This film is significant to me not only because it is my father’s final film, but also because he believed in the story].”
Following that, Ranbir Kapoor says, “Tab woh chahte the ki kisi tara film complete ho jaye, mujhe yaad hai ki jab shoot ke beech mein papa ki tabiyat kharab hui the. Life, on the other hand, had other ideas. The show must go on, kehte hain na. Although I have witnessed my papa live this statement, apne yeh suna hoga. Ranbir Kapoor also mentions how the team considered using VFX or prosthetics on Ranbir’s face to finish the film. “But nothing seemed to be working,” he says. Ranbir thanks Paresh Rawal for taking on the part, saying, “He was extremely nice in accepting this task. Kyuki ek character ko do alag actors play kare, cinema world mein yeh bohot hi rare hai. Thanks to Paresh ji, hum papa ki last film ko pura kar paye aur aap sab logo tak yeh film pohucha paye (It was incredibly gracious of him to accept this task because two actors performing the same character in movies is extremely rare.) We were able to finish Dad’s last film thanks to Paresh ji).” He went on to say, “It’ll be one of my favorite recollections of my father for the rest of my life. Up on the screen, he’s sending a grin to his legions of followers. I want iss movie ko utna pyaar de jitna unko humesha diya hai ap sab bhi. Namkeen ka trailer ayega Kal Sharmaji. The video was captioned by Neetu Kapoor, who said, “This film will always hold a special place in my heart.
