Apple teased its next major event and on Wednesday finally announced the date — March 8. That’s next Tuesday for the calendar-challenged.
The announcement was low-key, with only a few hints as to what’s to come.
It said, “Peek performance,” with what we can only presume is a deliberate misuse of the word “peek”… “Please join us for a unique Apple Event from Apple Park,” says the invitation.
The announcement included a wavy, styled Apple logo in neon blues, purples, and reds as the only image. Of course, this might be a signal as to what colors will be available for future smartphones.

It’s impossible to predict exactly what will be announced at Apple events, but Mashable’s Stan Schroeder speculated on what we might see. Apple is expected to reveal a new version of its most cheap iPhone, the iPhone SE, according to him. Rumors predict the Apple could launch a new iPad Air, a new Mac, and/or new software – one or all of them, according to Schroeder.
There isn’t much information about the event yet, but we do know it will take place on March 8 at 1 p.m. ET.
