Retained Players have Responsibility to Guide Youngsters: Ricky Ponting
After bringing in a slew of new faces at this year’s IPL super auction, Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting underlined that the players who have been retained now have a responsibility to mentor the team’s younger players.
The Capitals kept four players ahead of the auction — skipper Rishabh Pant, opener Prithvi Shaw, all-rounder Axar Patel, and South African bowler Anrich Nortje — and the coach is doing his best to get to know the rest of the group before the league starts on March 26.

On March 27, the Delhi Capitals will face the Mumbai Indians in the first game of the season.
