Alia-Ranbir Wedding: Neetu Kapoor Shares Photo of Dance Rehearsals
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were joined by their close family and friends for pre-wedding festivities a day before their wedding on Wednesday. The groom’s family, including his mother Neetu Kapoor, sister Riddhima Kapoor, and cousin Karisma Kapoor, stunned the pair with a dance performance, according to media reports. Neetu later unveiled her dance group by sharing a photo from the sessions.
Neetu shared a photo from the rehearsals on Instagram Stories on Thursday, the day before Alia-Ranbir wedding. “Our dance team,” she captioned it, along with a succession of dancing girl emojis, a starry-eyed emoji, and a red heart emoji. She was photographed alongside choreographer Rajendra Singh, as well as Ranbir’s cousin Karisma Kapoor, sister-in-law Anissa Malhotra, and aunt Rima Jain.

On her Instagram Stories, Ranbir’s sister also posted a photo with Rajendra Singh. When she landed in Mumbai for the wedding on Tuesday, she looked to have gone directly to the dance practices, as she was dressed in the same clothing she was photographed in at the airport.
Meanwhile, the choreographer shared a few footage of the dance practices with the press, in which Neetu can be seen dancing to tunes featuring her son Ranbir. She danced to Cutie Pie from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016) and Ghagra from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013). She also performed a dance to Alia’s song Dholida from Gangubai Kathiawadi. One of the films showed her, Karisma, Rima, and others dancing to Mehndi Hai Rachnewali from the 2000 film Zubeidaa, which featured Karisma in the lead role.
Ranbir and Alia Bhatt married on Thursday, April 14, after dating for nearly five years. They began dating in 2017 while working on Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra, which will be released in September of this year. During May 2018 interview with GQ, Ranbir revealed that he was dating Alia.
