Gotham Knights Release Date and Everything We Know So far

Gotham Knights release date has been moved up four days, to October 21. WB Games Montréal confirmed the news during Geoff Keighley’s Gamescom Opening Night Live by showing a new trailer that put Harley Quinn and Clayface in the spotlight as part of the infamous “rogues gallery.” The open-world RPG that takes place in the Batman universe was supposed to come out on October 25. Gotham Knights will be available for PS5, Xbox S/X, and PC.

Gotham Knights is an action video game based on Batman, one of the most well-known and beloved characters from DC Comics. In this game, Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, and many more of Batman’s classic friends and foes join the Dark Knight to celebrate his many years in entertainment.

Warner Bros Games Montréal is making the game, and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment will soon publish it. This has kept superhero fans and people who like good video games excited, since this installment is on lists of the most anticipated games of this year. Because of the same reason, it didn’t take long for the news to spread when the release date was changed.

Gotham Knights was supposed to come out on October 25, but Warner Bros. has moved the release date up to October 21, which is four days earlier than what was originally planned. It may not seem like much of a difference, but fans of video games and comics are always on the lookout for new releases of their favorite characters, so this news will make them very happy. It also shows that the development of this video game must be going well, since the release date has been moved up. It doesn’t happen as often as the opposite, which is when a release date gets pushed back. For example, the fact that the video game God of War Ragnarok keeps getting pushed back has already made a lot of fans very angry.

We also know that Gotham Knights is getting better and better because we already have an official trailer. In it, we can see that Harley Quinn, Mr. Freeze, and Clayface are some of the famous bad guys that the Dark Knight and his allies will have to fight.

But we shouldn’t make the mistake of thinking that getting Gotham Knights out earlier means that it will be rushed or poorly tested. Let’s not forget that there have been rumors about this story since 2018 and that even in the DC Fandom of 2020, several important details about this video game were already being talked about, so we know for sure that enough time has passed that Warner feels ready to surprise us based on their research.

Gotham Knights will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and the PC ecosystem (Steam or the Epic Game Store) for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Additionally, the gooey villain Clayface, alias Basil Karlo, makes a debut and causes mayhem by unleashing muddy minions around Gotham City. His center of operations appears to be located in the sewers, allowing him to move freely throughout the city and target innocent bystanders. The Gotham Knights Gamescom trailer has some brand-new footage of Mr. Freeze as well, showing him briefly changing into a six-legged mechanical robot that resembles the AIM robots from Marvel’s Avengers. There are a few passing jabs at the serial killer Professor Pyg, who, while seeming thin, might be one of his goons.

The Court of Owls, who lurk in the shadows and keep watch over the status of Gotham from their secret headquarters, continue to be the major nemesis, nevertheless. These high-profile crooks, known for sending out their ninja-like footsoldiers known as Talons, have complete authority over the aforementioned factions.

Gotham Knights includes RPG-like leveling and a slower combat system that mainly focuses on XP growth. It may be played solo or in two-player co-op. Instead of the iconic free-flow fighting from the Batman: Arkham games, new powers are now introduced that are specific to each character’s backstory.
