Elon Musk is an outspoken CEO. He doesn’t do things like everyone else.
Musk, who controls numerous firms at once — Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, and The Boring Company– can spend nearly a day publishing different messages on the microblogging site Twitter.
On April 9, this was the situation. But in recent days, the billionaire‘s activities on Twitter, which he now owns little over 9% of, have taken on a new meaning. Elon Musk was offered a seat on Twitter’s board of directors in exchange for agreeing not to own more than 14.9 percent of the company.
The billionaire aims to utilize his position to shape the social network’s destiny. On April 9, he got down to business by gradually divulging his plans.
The tech tycoon began by wondering if Twitter was fading. To back up his point, he used the first ten users with the most followers as examples (he is one of them). He then pointed out that there were relatively few active people on this list, which included former President Barack Obama, musicians Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and Rihanna, among others. Musk was implying that Twitter lacked attractive products or services to entice its influencers to create content for the network.
A Survey to Address the Homelessness Crisis
The entrepreneur then proposed that Twitter stop bombarding paid services like Blue with advertisements.
He appears to have saved the best for last, as Musk just asked a question that will undoubtedly raise eyebrows among Twitter staff. This inquiry, on the other hand, is meant to address a significant social issue. This issue also jeopardizes the authority of authorities in major cities such as New York and San Francisco. Cities with skyrocketing real estate values.
The question is presented as a poll.
“Convert Twitter SF HQ to homeless shelter since no one shows up anyway,” Musk wrote.

He just had two options: yes or no.
Within less than two hours of the poll’s posting, approximately 40,000 individuals had liked the post. More than 500,000 Twitter users have already voted. Users can vote until April 10th. Musk does not indicate what he will do next, for example, if the yes vote wins. Will he compel Twitter to vacate and donate the building to the city and NGOs that assist the homeless?
The survey had largely positive responses. Many Elon Musk supporters and detractors alike have been pleading with him for a long time to focus on Earth-related concerns rather than attempting to conquer space via SpaceX.
“You could actually buy the homeless a full country and still have billions left over,” one person remarked.
“Our government receives more than Elons net worth every 30 days……why isn’t our government doing what you propose?” another person stated.
“I love this,” commented another person.
An Active CEO
Since the beginning of the year, Elon Musk has taken on a new dimension. For example, the world’s richest man defied multinationals’ standards of conduct while dealing with political issues. Musk has been vocal about his support for Ukraine since the Russian invasion on February 24.
He decided to send Starlink terminals to Ukraine so that the people in the isolated zones and cities damaged by the Russians would not be shut off from the rest of the world. SpaceX’s Starlink is a satellite internet connection.
These same Starlink terminals enable Ukrainian authorities to maintain safe and independent communication networks during the battle with Russia.
Musk has even advocated a duel between himself and Russian President Vladimir Putin to settle the war. The latter, however, never reacted to the mogul’s request.
In doing so, he paved the path for other businesses and CEOs to follow suit. Musk, in doing so, destroyed the well-known corporate neutrality.
