New Covid-19 Variant BF. 7 Symptoms, Precautions, Transmission Rate
China is seeing yet another wave of Covid-19. The recent rise in Covid-19 infections in China is thought to be caused by Omicron sub-variant BF.7. Four cases of the BF.7 strain have been found. So far, 7 variations have been found in India. Two cases have been found in Gujarat, and two more have been found in Odisha. This sub-variant has already been discovered in Germany, Belgium, Denmark France, the United States, and the United Kingdom, among other places.
Omicron sub-variant BF.7: What We Currently Know?
The BF.7 is related to the BA.5 Omicron variant. PTI says that it is a very virulent form with a shorter incubation period. It is also more likely to cause re-infection and can even spread to people who have been vaccinated.

A study in the journal Cell Host and Microbe found that the BF.7 variant is 4.4 times more resistant to neutralization than the original Wuhan virus. This means that the antibodies made by the shot are not strong enough to fight the virus.
Symptoms of Omicron BF.7 Variant
The new type has symptoms like those of an upper respiratory infection, like a fever, a sore throat, a runny nose, and a cough.

Some patients may also have stomach problems, like diarrhea and throwing up.
If someone has these symptoms, experts say they should get checked out right away.
This type may not cause any major problems, but it can spread more quickly. So, early detection and separation are very important.
Precautions

What is the situation in India?
So far, the BF.7 variation has been discovered in four people in India. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya told people to act as they should in Covid. “COVID is still going on. I’ve told everyone involved to stay on the lookout and increase surveillance. “We are prepared to deal with everything,” he wrote on Twitter.
Manoj Agarwal, the Additional Chief Secretary of Health, told the news agency ANI that on Tuesday, the central government briefed all states on how to properly screen international passengers and how to sequence genomes.
At the present, China, Japan, South Korea, France, and the United States are all reporting a frightening increase in Covid-19 cases.
