And, by the way, it does not take too much time, it can be done from home in any free time, and it comprises the exercises that burn the most calories. Do we ask too much? No, what we are looking for exists. This has been confirmed to us by Dr Kianoush Missaghi, Director of Senior Training Experience at Freeletics, a physical and mental training app based on artificial intelligence. 2. Split Lunges
Burn, but you will have legs of steel. Of course, being an exercise with a jump, you have to be very careful to perform the technique well to maintain your balance and avoid injuries.
How is it done? “The legs are hip-width apart, the body is straight, and the head is in a natural position.” Take a lunge forward with the right leg. This is the starting position. Now move your hips down until your knees reach a 90-degree angle. Note that the front knee should always stay above the ankle and not move beyond it, while the back knee slowly moves towards the ground. Now jump off the ground and, while in the air, change the position of the legs so that they land in an angular position.
3. Jump Squats
Squats are a classic and essential movement in our training. And it turns out that, if you add a jump, they are one of the exercises that burn the most calories. We can’t ask for more (well, maybe yes; they don’t hurt so much).

How is it done? ” Legs are shoulder-width apart. Push your hips back and squat deep. Make sure your knees don’t drop past your toes. Keep your hands together in front of your body to stabilize your position. Jump off the ground, activating your abdominal muscles, and explosively thrust your pelvis forward. Stretch your upper body, and for even more momentum, you can let your arms swing back. Freeletics advises, “Return to a squat position after landing, and jump back up.”
4. Jumping Cat or Jumping Jacks
The cat jump is one of the easiest, most effective, and most calorie-burning exercises. It’s perfect to do anywhere and anytime you want to get your heart rate up and work up a little sweat.
How is it done? “Start standing with your hands behind your head. Jump with your feet wider than shoulder-width apart and touch your hands to your thighs. Jump back up with your feet together and touch your hands behind your head.
5. Climbers or Mountain Climbers
The best thing about mountain climbers is that with a single exercise, you will be working on arm, abdominal, and leg strength and cardio. And burning a ton of calories, of course. That is why it is one of our favorite exercises, and we are glad that it is included in this list.
