Retired, renowned head teacher Jayanta Kumar Kundu is the father of Editorialge founder and CEO Sukanta Kundu. Today is the second death anniversary of Jayanta Kumar Kundu. On February 13, 2022, he passed away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Dhaka.

Jayanta Kumar Kundu was a retired headmaster and former general secretary of the Bangladesh Primary Teachers’ Association in Dupchanchia Upazila. He was also a former vice president of the Bogura district unit of the association.
He obtained his graduate degree from the University of Rajshahi in 1967. He took part as an organizer of Bangladesh’s Liberation War in 1971, and he never claimed to be a freedom fighter since he did not receive any certificate as a freedom fighter. He was also involved in communism during his student life in 1964. He was a pioneer of the ideas of communism and Marxism in Bogura.
He left behind two sons, two daughters-in-law, grandsons, granddaughters, a large number of admirers, and students.
