Veteran Actor Soumitra Chatterjee Tests Positive for Covid-19
Prominent Indian actor Soumitra Chatterjee has tested positive for the Coronavirus. The Bengali actor was ill for the last three to four days.
After the Coronavius test, his report came positive in the morning on Tuesday. He was admitted to Bellevue Nursing Home, a private hospital in Kolkata, the Indian media report.
The 85-year-old Soumitra resumed shooting several days ago and another noted Bengali actor, Parambrata, concluded the shooting of Abhiyan under his direction. In the film, Jisshu Sengupta plays the role of young Soumitra.

Apart from Feluda role, Soumitra was a part of several other works of Satyajit Ray. He is also famous for his role as Apu in the Bangla film Apu’r Sangshar or The World Of Apu. Some of his best films include Ashani Sanket, Ghare Baire, Aranyer Din Ratri, Charulata, Shakha Proshakha, Jhinder Bandi, Saat Pake Bandha.
