With its box office revenues, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is setting new standards for the Hindi film industry. The film’s first-day earnings of Rs 75 crore was a record-breaking sum. And, after earning Rs 53 crore on the second day, the Atlee-directed film made history yet again on the third day, earning Rs 74.50 crore at the domestic box office, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. The film’s domestic nett collection now stands at Rs 202.73 crore.
The film grossed Rs 66 crore in Hindi, Rs 5 crore in Tamil, and Rs 3.5 crore in Telugu on the third day. Jawan had an evening show occupancy percentage of 71.05%, which jumped to 81.60% at night. Although Atlee’s film has drawn considerable interest in Tamil and Telugu areas, the majority of its earnings have come from Hindi-speaking states.
Jawan grossed Rs 240.47 crore at the worldwide box office after two days, according to the film’s production firm Red Chillies Entertainment. They had stated that the film grossed Rs 129.6 crore on its first day worldwide.
Jawan has emerged as the year’s best Hindi opener. This record was previously held by Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, which grossed Rs 57 crore on its first day. Jawan has set a new milestone by raising Rs 200 crore in three days. Pathaan accomplished this in three days, while Gadar 2 accomplished it in five days. Shah Rukh Khan has been out of the spotlight for a few years, having not appeared in a prominent role since 2018’s Zero. When he made his comeback with Pathaan, the audience greeted him with open arms, and Jawan’s success proves that SRK fans were eager to see him on film again.
