Listen to the Podcast:
The iPhone 15 series will come out in the next four months, and the models are already thought to have some significant changes. Apple is likely to make it rounder, making it easier to hold.
It will also change how some of the phone’s functions and specs work. Leaks and reports suggest that there will be a big difference between the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Pro. A powerful A17 Bionic chip will likely power the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. While the A16 might be improved for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
So much has been said about the iPhone 15 series, so let’s look at what we know. From the date of birth to the price, specs, and features.
iPhone 15 Review, Full Specifications, and Price
This is one of the portions with the most complexity because it contains the most lacking information. However, we can tie up a few loose ends to create a rather complete, intriguing, and trustworthy estimate. Recall that Apple has used the SoC to distinguish between normal and Pro models. As a result, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus could repurpose the Apple A16 SoC, which was previously reserved for the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.
We have reached the end of the Lightning connector because all models will use the USB Type-C connector to adhere to European Union laws. Although this is fantastic news, there have been a lot of controversies because it has been suggested that Apple may employ a certain PCB in its USB Type-C cables to restrict the functionalities if we use comparable cables. We must stick with the original cables or tolerate significant restrictions if true.

Although it shouldn’t surprise us since, as we have already noted, this is something we also saw in the previous generation, what most catches our attention is the difference at the SoC level that there will be between the regular models and the Pro and Pro Max variants.
The Apple A17 SoC will be a more powerful chip at both the CPU and GPU levels. It will also be more effective. It will be constructed using TSMC’s 3nm node instead of the 4nm node used for the Apple A16 SoC. Although I don’t anticipate a significant increase in power, I believe there will be a significant progression in performance per watt spent.
LPDDR5 memory on the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus and upgrading the Pro and Pro Max models’ RAM from 6 GB to 8 GB represent other significant changes. Additionally, we anticipate that all models’ cameras will be improved, and the Pro Max model will have a periscope-style telephoto lens.
Beyond that curved finish and the inclusion of Dynamic Island in the standard and Plus models, we do not yet have concrete information about the potential novelties that Apple could include in the screens of these new terminals. Nevertheless, I am confident that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will once again offer a 60 Hz refresh rate. Although details about the battery have not yet surfaced, we anticipate minor differences from the current version.
When will Apple Launch the iPhone 15 Series?
Considering that the iPhone 14 series came out on September 7, it is likely that the iPhone 15 series will come out in the first week of September 2023, with a rollout date in the middle of September.
What will be iPhone 15 Series Price and Colour?
A report from 9to5Mac says that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will come in a dark red color. This is one of the color options that Apple may add to the iPhone 15 line. While light blue and pink are color choices for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
What will iPhone 15 Series Design Element be Like?
A story from Tom’s Guide says that the iPhone 15 will have a screen with curved edges, which we last saw on the iPhone 11 Pro Max. All of the iPhone 15 models can have borders that are thin and curved. The camera bump will also get some changes. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg says that Dynamic Island will be added to all iPhone 15 models.
“CAD-based renders of the iPhone 15 Plus show the above changes. Tom’s Guide said that a Dynamic Island will replace the notch on the iPhone 14 Plus, and a USB-C port will replace the Lightning port.
iPhone 15 Series: New Action Button
It was once said that the buttons on the iPhone 15 models would be solid-state. But now, it’s said that Apple won’t put solid-state buttons on the iPhone 15 Pro because the feature is too complicated. Instead, the iPhone 16 Pro coming out next year will have buttons made of solid state. People also say that both versions of the iPhone 15 Pro could have an “action button” like the Apple Watch Ultra.
Will iPhone 15 Get Rid of the Lightning Port?
On the iPhone 15 series, Apple is likely to finally get rid of the Lightning port by adding USB-C. This is mainly because the European Union has clarified that all phones must use USB-C by 2024.
Will iPhone 15 Series get a Camera Upgrade?
People say that the next iPhone could come with a spy camera. Analysts at Nomura say that this time around, the basic iPhone 15 will have a camera like the iPhone Pro. In a note, they say, “They will have main cameras (wide) updated to 48MP with image sensor size at 1/1.5″ (slightly smaller than the iPhone 14 Pro’s 48MP sensor size, but much better than the i14’s 12MP one)”. Analyst Kuo has said that the primary camera on the iPhone 15 Pro will not have a new 8P or eight-element lens. Instead, rumors say the iPhone 15 Pro will use a 7P lens.
What will iPhone 15 Series Display be Like?
“We thought Apple would stay true to style and release four new iPhones with screens the same size as the current ones: 6.1 inches for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro, and 6.7 inches for the iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro Max. But that could be a little different since the iPhone 15 could be a 6.2-inch phone, as Tom’s Guide said.
People think that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a 2,500-nit screen. According to Twitter users ShrimpApple Pro and Orexda, this would be much brighter than the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s 2,000 nits and could be the best screen ever on the phone.
Will iPhone 15 Series Pack the iOS 17?
The release of iOS 17 is anticipated to coincide with the arrival of the iPhone 15. The Worldwide Developer Conference in June will provide a peek at iOS 17’s new features if Apple sticks to its well-known pattern for software releases. To prepare for a full release in the fall, a public beta will be held during the summer, according to Tom’s Guide.
iPhone 15 Price Predictions
In a recent interview with CNBC, Wall Street expert Dan Ives said that the average selling price (ASP) of the new iPhone 15 line would go up. There is a chance that the price could go up by up to $200. This is said to significantly affect people who buy the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.
Ives didn’t say how much the iPhone 15 costs, though. The starting price for the iPhone 15 Pro is $999 (Rs 1,29,900 in India), and the starting price for the iPhone 14 Pro Max is $1,099 (Rs 1,39,900 in India). This could be raised to $1,099 ( Rs 89,300) for the iPhone 15 Pro and $1,199 ( Rs 97,400) for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. We got these numbers from leaks in the past, so there’s a chance they’re true!
Before, it looked like the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus wouldn’t get a price increase (something else was in the works), but they won’t be saved either.
It’s also possible that the price increase (the first since the iPhone X came out in 2017) is because of the iPhone 15 Pro’s features, such as its titanium build.
iPhone 15 expected US prices:
- Starting from $800 or $850 if there is a price hike
iPhone 15 Plus expected prices:
Starting from $900 or $950 if there is a price hike
iPhone 15 Pro expected prices:
- $1099 for 128GB
- $1199 for 256GB
- $1399 for 512GB
- $1599 for 1TB
iPhone 15 Pro Max expected prices:
- $1199 for 128GB
- $1299 for 256GB
- $1499 for 512GB
- $1699 for 1TB
iPhone 15 Battery
The iPhone 15 has a Li-Ion 3240 mAh battery that can’t be removed. Which gives you an average of up to 89 hours of standby time and 16:08 hours of viewing the Internet. On 3G, you can talk for up to 19:21 hours on a full charge. The phone will fully charge with 20W fast charging support in about 1:10 hours.
Wrapping Up
One of the most eagerly awaited smartphone releases of the year is expected to be the iPhone 15. Apple is already planning for the future and working to advance the limits of mobile technology.
