Google Introduces the First Foldable Phone Named ‘Pixel Fold’

The expected Google Pixel Fold has already been officially presented. Following rumors and speculation among tech enthusiasts, Google has finally made its first foldable phone a reality.

The Pixel Fold is the first of its kind from the popular tech giant, offering a whole new gaming and multitasking experience along with other features that make it stand out from other smartphones.

Google has pleasantly surprised us after posting a short promotional video for its new folding phone, the Google Pixel Fold.

The Pixel Fold resembles the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 in that they share the same display provider; however, this phone is different in several ways, especially its proportions.

Both the external and internal screens are square, which can be beneficial for certain tasks but not so much for others.

When unfolded, the Pixel Fold sports a massive 7.6-inch screen that provides an experience closer to that of a tablet. However, its design has generated controversy due to the thick borders that surround the internal screen, which could make this foldable phone less attractive than other competing devices.

But these borders are deliberate, as they allow for a more interesting ratio that may be more beneficial in actual use.

In addition, the Pixel Fold does not have a selfie camera that punches a hole in the internal screen but is housed on the top edge due to its greater thickness. This feature allows you to get a complete picture without distractions, something that will be very useful when viewing content in full screen, such as videos or video games.

On the other hand, the increased thickness of the edges also allows the device to be symmetrical once it is open, which is a positive aspect. So far, Google has not given more details about the Pixel Fold, but it is expected to have the same Tensor G2 processor as the Pixel 7, and its price will be around 1,799 euros, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

In short, the Google Pixel Fold is a foldable mobile device that promises to be a serious contender in the smartphone market. With its boxy design and unique features, the Pixel Fold has generated a lot of buzz among tech enthusiasts.
