Pop diva Britney Spears, who fights for her personal life and finances as a curator, declared on Sunday that she was committed to long-term lover Sam Asghari.
A video shared by “Stronger” singer Kelly Clarkson revealed that she was with Asghari and that she had gotten engaged to the singer. “I can’t believe it,” she wrote, posting a ring emoji and two ’emojis’.
Spears uploaded a photo of the couple kissing and Asghari posted one of Spears extending her ring finger. The relationship is well known in the fashion world because Brandon Cohen, Asghari’s manager, has said that the couple is engaged.
“The couple just made their decades-long relationship official today, and they were blown away by the amount of support, dedication, and love they’ve received from everyone,” Cohen reported in an email.
Spears, 39, is twice divorced. Her 2004 Las Vegas wedding to childhood buddy Jason Alexander was dissolved a few days later. She married and had two children with dancer Kevin Federline, who she divorced in 2007.
An Iranian-born personal trainer and actor, Asghari is known for his appearances on Showtime’s “Black Monday.” Spears and he started dating in 2016.
Spears described the 13-year-old conservatorship that was partially in her father’s control as “abusive” in a Los Angeles court in June and stated that she just wanted her life back. She had big plans to get married and have many more kids.
The week prior, Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, asserted that his daughter’s situation had altered and, as a result, he petitioned to dissolve the conservatorship. The court case’s next hearing will be on September 29.
