Victoria Beckham has reached the milestone of turning fifty, and her husband, soccer legend David Beckham, commemorated her birthday with a video montage featuring a mix of nostalgic photos and playful moments.
He posted a heartwarming video on Instagram Wednesday morning, featuring their eldest children, Brooklyn and Romeo, sending their mother a birthday message from years ago.
The tribute features adorable baby pictures of Victoria Beckham, heartwarming snapshots of Victoria with her own children, nostalgic moments of Victoria hanging out with Baby Spice during her time as a member of the Spice Girls, and many other cherished memories. David, who is 48 years old, couldn’t help but playfully tease his wife.
He shared the well-known and widely shared “be honest” audio clip from the recent Netflix documentary about the couple, David Beckham. He paired it with a photo of a young Victoria standing in front of her father’s Rolls-Royce.
In the document, Victoria characterizes her upbringing as “working class,” while David unexpectedly interjects during the interview to fact-check her, pointing out the extravagant vehicle that transported her to school. Posh Spice, for sure.
In the caption to his birthday post, David encourages his wife to reflect on her accomplishments, achievements, and the things she has built, and to feel a sense of pride. What are some of the achievements? “Well, well, marrying an England captain.”
“But your greatest achievement is your children. You nurture them, cherish them, and educate them,” he continued. “They have an immense amount of love for you, and we all share that same deep affection.”
As he concluded his message, he affectionately referred to his wife as “50 and fit,” and emphasized his sincerity by adding one final mention of the Rolls: “I AM BEING HONEST.”
As David delved into the family’s archive and proudly displayed some personal photos for the first time, a new book was set to reveal even more intriguing details about the family.
Bower, who has previously written investigative books about Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and King Charles III, stated in a press statement that he hopes to provide readers with “surprising insight” into “Brand Beckham” and everything that goes along with it through research and insider interviews.
“Even I was surprised to discover such a compelling, previously untold story when I started researching the Beckhams for the book,” he added. “I was sure that an in-depth account of their lives would be a hugely entertaining and revealing read.”
“Are their lives really as perfect as the Beckhams would like the world to believe?” is the topic the book aims to address, he said.
Bower stated in a statement to the Mirror that the book will explore the couple’s economic ventures, image control, and personal connection. Will there be any updates regarding David’s supposed extramarital affairs and the early years of the scandal that caused Victoria to claim that 2003 was “the most unhappy” year of her life?
“Those who want to know about Beckham’s sex life won’t be disappointed,” Bower stated.
