US Citizens will Get Coronavirus Vaccine for Free
US will ensure free distribution to all of its citizens if the coronavirus vaccine proves effective. Paul Mango, a senior health official in the country, said on Thursday.
“Most insurance companies have agreed to cover this cost to their customers,” Paul Mango told reporters. By January 2021, we will be able to supply hundreds of millions of doses.
According to a report of The Wall Street Journal, US invested more than 10 billion in six vaccine projects in the United States. Additionally, the government has inked an advance agreement to get tens of millions of doses if approved in clinical trials.
The US government will also bear the cost of vaccinating citizens. It will also pay the cost of doctors or clinics. But most of the cost will come from public and private insurance companies.
Francis Collins, head of the US National Institutes of Health, said any of the six vaccines may be proved effective and safe by the end of this year.
Meanwhile, Russia approved the first corona vaccine without a third-stage clinical trial on Tuesday.
