Don’t Make these Rookie Mistakes with Peanut Butter

peanut butter mistakes

Peanut butter is surely one of the greatest additions to food items, from acting as a savior on days when you are not able to decide what to eat, to being always available for your breakfast.

You can put peanut butter on almost anything and can be sure that it will taste good. But apart from its versatility and taste-enhancing ability, a serving size of peanut butter comes with 8 grams of protein and a lot of healthy fats that can keep you energized and full for the whole day.

It doesn’t matter whether you are a super chunk fiend or a smooth operator, you can never go wrong with peanut butter? Well, this is what most people think but it just takes a little bit of experimentation and too much enthusiasm to go wrong with something as versatile as peanut butter.

This is why, in this blog post, we are going to discuss the top 5 mistakes you should keep away from while using natural peanut butter.

Throwing the jar that has still has peanut butter

For most people, it is a herculean task to try and rinse the peanut butter jar before recycling it because natural peanut butter is known for its stickiness and oiliness. But you don’t need to get elbow grease while trying to get every inch of peanut butter out of the jar as there are many easy and delicious ways to do it.

Just put oats and chia pudding in the almost empty peanut jar overnight and when you strip it up and serve, you will have the most delicious method of completely emptying the peanut butter jar without making it an arduous task.

Spreading the wrong way

If you are a healthy peanut butter fiend then you must be aware of the pain that comes with spreading the peanut butter evenly on the bread and in most cases, you end up ripping the bread into shreds.

The best way to deal with this issue is to use a couple of smaller spoonfuls of peanut butter around the surface of the bread instead of pouring a big dollop of peanut butter in the middle and then trying to spread it evenly. Another good option for spreading the peanut butter evenly on the surface is to warm it up.

Storing the wrong way

If you are using organic peanut butter then there are maximum chances that it will separate and you must also be familiar with the herculean task of stirring up the separated organic peanut butter. But do you know that just storing the peanut jar bottle upside down can help you to get rid of this issue?

When you store the best peanut butter jar upside down, the oil rises up and the peanut comes to the bottom. This means that when you take out the jar for use, you just need to give it a quick stir and the issue of separated peanut butter will completely dissipate.

Not using it in place of butter

If you find yourself following a recipe from your favorite YouTube chef only to discover that you are out of butter then you don’t need to panic and rush directly to the supermarket midst of the cooking as peanut butter can be the perfect replacement for butter.

Peanut butter can always work in a pinch if you are running out of butter. All that you need to do is to add 1:1 of peanut butter to the oil and it will work perfectly fine in almost all the dishes. But if you want the best results, you should use this replacement in almost all the deserts and the addition of the best peanut butter is only going to enhance the taste and flavor.

Improper stirring

The easiest way of making the stirring process a breeze is to store the peanut butter jar upside down, as we have already discussed but if you are not fond of this method then there is another way of making stirring organic peanut butter a cakewalk.

You can simply buy a peanut butter stirrer! Yes, you read it right. There are specially designed peanut butter stirrers in the market and it is a perfect tool if you are in love with peanut butter. But if you are not ready to invest in a specialized kitchen utensil for stirring then you can even use the immersion blender for this purpose.

Peanut butter might be the most versatile food item lying on the shelf of your kitchen but this doesn’t mean that you can’t go wrong with it. Keep enjoying the nutty and roasted flavor of peanut butter along with a thin layer of jam on it but at the same time, stay away from the mistakes mentioned in this blog post.
