If you like to drive, the new Honda Civic is your car

Honda Civic

We already know everything new about the Japanese model from the static presentation of the new Honda Civic 2022. It is now 4.69 meters long, 1.80 meters wide, and 1.43 meters high, with a wheelbase of 2.73 meters. It was built on a new platform. It has more space inside thanks to its larger size, but it still has a 410-liter trunk, which is the same as the previous model.

Inside, it has a minimalist design that accomplishes two goals: increasing the functionality and quality of life on board for the passengers, and improving the ergonomics of the driver so that he or she can fully enjoy all of the vehicle’s power.

And if the new Civic stands out for anything, it’s because of how it drives. It’s not just that it’s better in ways like design, habitability, safety, technology, or connectivity. And this is why the new e:HEV hybrid engine from Honda is so important. The powertrain is made up of a lithium-ion battery that packs a lot of power, two small but powerful electric motors, and a newly made 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle gasoline engine. The brand says that this set has the best thermal efficiency in its field (41%), which means that it uses 4.7 l/100 km (WLTP) of fuel and puts out only 108 g/km of CO2 (WLTP). Even though the engine only makes 184 hp and 315 Nm of maximum torque, these numbers are still amazing.

First contact with new Honda Civic for sale in 2022

We already knew all of this theory from the way it was shown to us. But now it is time to drive the car as the new Honda Civic for sale and see how all of these numbers and improvements worked in real life.

Let’s start with the thing we liked the most, which was how the car ran in general. The response of the steering is simply unbeatable. It has a precision that is hard to beat, a response that is very direct, a perfect resistance or hardness, and an amazing ability to send the asphalt’s reading. All of this gives you a lot of confidence behind the wheel and lets you get the most out of your car.

This feeling of confidence has a lot to do with how stiff and stiff the bodywork is, as well as how the wheelbase is 35 mm longer and the rear track is 18 mm wider than the last generation. All of this makes the car more stable and steady, even at high speeds and in tight corners.

But the new Honda Civic for sale and is not only more fun to drive, but it’s also much more comfortable than the old one. It’s clear that Honda made this car with European customers and the roads in Europe in mind. The damping keeps the car stable and soaks up most of the unevenness of the road so it doesn’t get into the cabin. This makes life on board comfortable.

Overall, the new Civic is one of the models in its class and price range that gives you the best feeling behind the wheel when you’re driving quickly. But it’s also more comfortable when you’re just driving around town than its predecessor. You can’t ask for much more.

New hybrid engine

We thought the new hybrid engine was great in every way. Even though it is a hybrid, it has a lot of power, low energy use, and a “thermal” behavior. The second one is better because the electric motor always moves the wheels, while the gasoline motor acts as a generator to power the electric motor. The thermal engine only drives the car directly when more power is needed.

The new Honda Civic engine has three ways to run: electric, which is the default and uses the electric motor to move the car; gas, which uses the gas engine to move the car; Hybrid: The combustion engine works as a generator to power the electric motor. Engine: Used when a lot of power is needed. In the second case, the engine moves the car by connecting to the wheels through a one-speed clutch. This is the only way that the combustion engine itself moves the car.

Don’t confuse these three ways the engine works with the Civic’s three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport. By changing how the engine responds or how the car moves, we can change how the car acts to suit our needs. drive more efficiently or faster.

New Honda Civic Price

In the first one, which is the entry-level one, the Civic starts at 32,100 eruos. The Sport version starts at 33,200 euros and comes with more equipment and a focus on sportsmanship. And the most expensive Advance model costs 35,500 euros.
