iPhone 15 Pro Max May Have the World’s Thinnest Screen Bezels
Listen to the Podcast:
Apple, a tech company based in Cupertino, is rumored to be working on an iPhone 15 Pro Max with very thin bezels around the screen. A report says that the iPhone 15 Pro Max may have a front screen with bezels only 1.55mm (0.06 inches) thick. This would make it the smartphone with the thinnest bezels ever made.
Ice Universe, a tipster, recently posted on Twitter: “iPhone 15 Pro Max will break the record of 1.81mm bezel black edge held by Xiaomi 13, and we measure that its cover plate black bezel width is only 1.55 mm.”iS22 and S23: 1.95mm; iPhone 14 Pro: 2.17mm).”

Last week, videos of the front glass of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max leaked online. These videos showed that the bezels around the screen would be very thin. Also, Apple is likely to only put its Always-On and ProMotion display features on the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
It was also said that only the iPhone 15 Pro models will be able to connect to the Wi-Fi 6E network. There will probably be new features on the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, such as solid-state buttons with haptic feedback, a titanium frame, and more RAM.
Earlier, a report from Macrumors also said that the standard bezels on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus probably won’t change in any obvious way. Like the iPhone 11 series, the bezels on all four iPhone 15 models are likely to have a slight curve around the edges.
The report also said that the volume up and down buttons on the iPhone 15 Pro models might be combined into one button instead of having two separate buttons. With the new volume rocker, the volume can be changed by where the button is pressed.
It was also said that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max would have new features like solid-state buttons with haptic feedback, a titanium frame, and more RAM.
More Changes are Coming
Apple users will see some big changes with the iPhone 15 series. With iOS 17, which will be on these devices, there will be a lot of big changes to meet new EU rules. Also, EU rules mean that the new devices will also have USB Type-C. A new law says that USB Type-C ports will have to be on all devices by 2024. Apple doesn’t like the idea of having to do something against its will. So, it’s putting in the USB Type-C port before the new rules take effect.
But it looks like Apple will add some kind of secret tech to its USB Type-C standard. The USB Type-C will be a little different for iPhones, just like Lightning is unique to Apple products. This is just a rumor, though, and you probably will still be able to transfer data and charge your device with a regular USB Type-C cable.
Telephoto Camera and 3NM SOC
This year, all three iPhone 15 models will be available in September. They will look about the same, and there are rumors that the lower-end models will get better cameras. But with a telephoto camera, the iPhone 15 Pro Max should still be better. Still, there will be a lot of differences in the CPUs. The A16 Bionic chip from last year will be in the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus.
The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will use a brand-new Apple A17 chip made with 3nm technology. Some rumors also say that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be renamed the iPhone 15 Ultra. We have yet to find out if that is true. Keep in mind that until a few days before its release, the iPhone 14 Plus was called the 14 Max.
