Compatibility Alert: Check if Your iPhone Made the Cut for iOS 17, Some Models Incompatible
Every year, Apple gives its iPhone software a big update that includes a lot of fun new features. At its WWDC event on June 5, Apple showed off its newest software, iOS 17.
It will be available to download this fall, but not all iPhone users will be able to do so. As with all big Apple software updates, some iPhones, like the iPhone X from 2017, are left behind.
If you don’t know which iPhone you have, you can check in the settings. Open the Settings app and go to General > About from there. You can see which iPhone you have next to Model Name.
We’ll tell you how to find out if iOS 17 will work with your iPhone. The public beta of iOS 17 will be ready in July if you want to try it out. Need more information about iOS 17? With Messages, Apple will turn your photos into stickers.
