Hilary Duff’s family has just grown a little bigger, and the actress and singer couldn’t be more overjoyed. After months of anticipation, Duff has finally welcomed her fourth child, a baby girl named Townes Meadow Bair, into the world.
On Wednesday, Duff took to Instagram to share the first adorable photo of her newborn daughter, capturing the precious moment as Townes, dressed in a mermaid-printed onesie, snuggled up against her chest.
The proud mom sweetly captioned the image, “Townsie gahhh,” expressing her joy and awe at the arrival of her bundle of joy.
Townes’ arrival was extra special, as Duff revealed that she was born via a serene water birth on May 3.
Duff gushed over her newest addition in a touching Instagram post that included images of the birth, writing, “I have been dreaming of holding you in my arms for months, and the past five days of getting to know you, stare at you, and smell you have been pure moments of magic. We all love you like you’ve been here all along, beauty.”
The “Lizzie McGuire” star also playfully noted, “Now we know why she made us wait so long… she was perfecting those cheeks!”
Duff announced her pregnancy in an adorably hilarious Christmas card in December, which read, “So much for silent nights.” The back of the card featured sweet photos of her children, accompanied by the caption: “Buckle up Buttercups, we’re adding one more to this crazy bunch!”
Townes joins Duff’s growing brood, which includes her husband, Matthew Koma (whose real name is Matthew Bair), their daughters Banks, 5, and Mae, 3, and Duff’s older son, Luca, 12, from her previous marriage to Mike Comrie.
Throughout her pregnancy, Duff shared glimpses of her journey with her fans, including the “pregnancy glow” and the anticipation of meeting her little one. In one Instagram post, she captioned a carousel of pregnancy images as “The wait …,” while on April 17, she posted photos of a “slow week,” saying that she was “gently trying to give baby the eviction notice.”
Despite the challenges of pregnancy, Duff has been grateful for the unwavering support of her husband, Koma. In a recent Instagram post, she wrote: “4 kids is a truly wild choice.
And while you rage the farmers market with the kids after 4 nights of shows and late nights so I can get some sleep and not hear, ‘Mom Mom Mama Mommy Mooooom,’ just know this only works because of you ♥️.”
With Townes’ arrival, the Duff-Bair-Comrie family is now complete, and the proud parents couldn’t be happier to have their little mermaid in their arms.
As they navigate the joys and challenges of raising four children, Duff and Koma can take solace in the love and support they have for each other and the beautiful family they have created.
