Elon Musk Earns $98,800 Per Month from Twitter Subscribers

Listen to the Podcast:

Since Elon Musk took over Twitter, he has made many changes, like launching Twitter Blue and changing the logo to metrics.

Now, Elon Musk has said that he makes a huge amount of money from Twitter subscribers: Rs 81 lakh per month. He also said that people can make a good amount of money each month on the microblogging platform, but they have to give their followers good content.

The CEO of Twitter sent out a tweet with an image that said, “Content creators may want to allow subscriptions on this site. Just go to settings and tap on “Monetization.” This was mostly to help people understand how the Creator tool works.

The image also revealed that Elon Musk has approximately 24,700 subscribers with whom he shares access to his online sessions and special information.

He costs each subscriber about $4 (about Rs 390) per month, which, when added up, shows that he makes nearly $98,800 (roughly Rs 80.9 lakh) per month. Additionally, this indicates that Elon Musk is earning almost $100,000 each month from its users, which is equivalent to Rs 81.9 lakh in India.

Elon Musk, meanwhile, last week deleted all blue ticks from legacy accounts. The blue checkmarks are now only displayed to those who have chosen to subscribe to Twitter Blue, per the new system. For Android and iOS users, the service costs Rs 900 per month, while for web users in India, the fee is Rs 650 per month. He restored a few accounts in the interim.

In a previous statement made in November, Elon Musk stated that Twitter would start charging $8 per month for the badge in order to generate additional revenue sources outside of advertising. Twitter now uses labels like “state-affiliated” and “automated by” to show whether an account is associated with a government or is a robot.
