Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, has stated that he currently does not own a home and sleeps in friends’ spare bedrooms. Musk made the remark in a recent interview with TED’s Chris Anderson.
“Right now, I don’t even own a home.” The New York Post cited him as stating, “I’m literally staying at friends’ residences.”
“When I go to the Bay Area, where much of Tesla’s engineering is done, I basically rotate around friends’ spare beds,” Tesla CEO Elon Musk explained.
He went on to say, “I don’t have a yacht, and I don’t go on holidays.” Musk was replying to a question on global wealth disparities and how much money billionaires spend.
“I believe that there are axiomatic faults that lead to that conclusion.” It would be really troublesome if I spent billions of dollars on personal spending every year, but that is not the case,” Musk remarked.
“With the exception of the plane, my personal consumption isn’t particularly high. I’ll have fewer hours to work if I don’t use the airline,” he added.

Last year, the millionaire revealed that his principal abode is a $50,000 SpaceX rental. He also acknowledged having an “events house” in the Bay Area in the same tweet.
According to Forbes, Musk has a net worth of $269.5 billion. He is now in the news for his offer to purchase Twitter, a microblogging website.
Musk presently owns 9.1% of Twitter and is the second-largest shareholder in the social media firm. Tesla’s CEO had made an offer to buy the company for $43 billion earlier this week.
