Bangladesh Cricketer Shakib Al Hasan Protests Against Rape
Every day, there are reports of multiple rapes or violence against women. The entire country is agitated at the way women are treated. And now Bangladesh cricketer all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan joined the protest against rape. He wants collective action against rising rape incidents. The all-rounder has protested giving a status on social media.
In an example of his mother, wife, sister, and daughter, Shakib wrote on his Facebook page, “I am the son of a wonderful woman, husband to a wonderful woman, brother to a wonderful woman and the father of two young wonderful women too.”

This time, the protest came against rape from Shakib. And the all-rounder said, “I cannot stay silent against the heinous wrong doings, especially rape and murder, these savage beings are committing against women and children irrespective of their age or religion on a daily basis and neither should you. I stand against all kinds of hatred and violence against human beings.”
So, the all-rounder called for collective resistance to the terrible social disease like rape. “It is our duty to protect and fight for each others’ rights just as our freedom fighters fought for our rights when it mattered most,” he said.
The recent rape at the MC College in Bangladesh’s Sylhet has sparked nationwide protests. The incident of the victim being tortured in Noakhali was not to be cut off. And there are different kinds of violence against girls and women take places every day. The whole country is blown away by all this.
