Pele scored 643 goals for Brazilian club Santos after winning three World Cups. Messi scored his 643rd goal for Barcelona against Valencia in Liga on Saturday night. That means the highest scoring record for a club is now two. However, where Pele did this in 19 seasons, Messi did so in 17 seasons.
His exploits have also helped him to six Ballon d’Or prizes.
