Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, has revealed that the tech giant is planning to release a competitor to ChatGPT very soon. He divulged the plans of the world’s largest technology company to implement AI characteristics into its search engine.

During the earnings call for the fourth quarter that took place on Wednesday, Sundar Pichai stated that users would very soon be able to connect directly with its newest and most powerful companion to search in ways that are experimental and unique.

Language Model for Dialogue Applications, which is Google’s very own language model, will be utilized by Google Search. It will assist the browser in providing factual and conversational results for the queries that are run.

According to Pichai, the enhanced search might be made available for testing within the next few weeks and months. It is anticipated that the development will take place sometime during the Google IO 2023 event that will take place in the month of May.

During the earnings call, the CEO of Google dropped a few hints about the new development. He did so by frequently mentioning the powers of AI and how ready the world is to use it, specifically pointing to the response for ChatGPT. Pichai stated that artificial intelligence is currently the deepest technology that they are working on. In addition, he revealed that Google will soon be offering new tools and application programming interfaces (APIs) for developers so that they may build and design their own AI-based applications.

Pichai, when asked to comment on the worries associated with AI chatbots, stated that the company has been investing for some time and that it is obvious that the market is ready to embrace AI-powered platforms. He continued by saying, “I feel comfortable with all of the efforts we have made in making sure we can develop artificial intelligence properly and we’ll be careful.”

According to the American tech corporation Google, a recent incident may have resulted in the theft of personal information belonging to customers who use the Google Fi service. This information may have been taken by the hackers. According to a report by The Verge, an American technology news website, the malware was likely related to a data breach that T-Mobile had earlier this month. This information was disclosed by The Verge.

Customers of Google Fi were informed via email that the principal network provider for their cellular network had become aware of suspicious activity in a system that contained Google Fi customer data. This information was contained in an email that was sent out by Google.
