Five Things Every Bride Should Know before Her Wedding Day

Wedding Day Tips for Bride

With your wedding day approaching, there are several things that you, as the bride, should know before your wedding day so that you don’t have to learn things the hard way.

Here are five things that every bride needs to know before her grand day.

Have Someone Else Run the Day

One of the best things you can do as a bride is to have someone else run the day. On the day of your wedding, you will want to have everything organized so that the only thing you and your partner have to do is to get dressed and walk down the aisle.

There will be so much going on on your wedding day that the last thing you need to do is to remember to pick out something. There is so much going on that you can easily lose track of time, which is why you will want to shift the responsibility to someone else.

We suggest that you pre-organize a person who will be running your entire day. You want the person to be there first thing in the morning from the time you start doing your hair and makeup until after. You can also hire a person from a wedding management company to be there just for the ceremony day to make sure everything runs smoothly.

The person you hire or organize will ensure that the music is running smoothly or that the timings of the bridesmaids are correct. They can also ensure that the food is okay. They could also make a last trip to the store to get you a thing that you might urgently require.

Make sure to hire someone who is proactive, reliable, and pays attention to detail.

Remember – It is YOUR Wedding Day

The wedding day is the one day that is about you and your partner. Of course, the wedding day is a big day for the parents, siblings, family members, loved ones, and anyone to whom you might have sent online wedding invitations and asked them to be a part of your wedding, but at the end of the day, it is the day where you are getting married.

People are prone to put their thoughts and expectations of what they think should be happening on your wedding day onto you. They might tell you who to include in the guest lists and how the ceremony should run. This aspect can cause stress, and you might feel overwhelmed at handling all these expectations.

Ideally, you will want to make your close loved ones, such as your family, feel like their opinion is heard and valued. But it is important to remember that it is your day and not theirs. At the end of the day, you should have the final say in what happens at your wedding.

Plan for More Food & Drinks

To avoid any embarrassing shortcomings of food and drinks, you will want to overestimate the food and drink required. The thing is that it is better to have more than not enough. Also, keep in mind that it will be a long day for you and that it will also be a long day for your guests, which is why you will want to ensure they are fed, watered, and well looked after.

Also, make sure that there is plenty of space for people to sit down, especially when you are arranging a cocktail event.

Choose the Vendors Mindfully

You will want to choose vendors that you can vibe well with. You might want to do your research and meet some of them in person before signing up for one. You will want to ensure that you can vibe with their work ethic and that they are 100% reliable for you on your big day.

Since it is a personal day for you, you will want to ensure that you are completely comfortable with the vendors. Always follow your instincts; if your gut is telling you that something is off with a potential vendor, you should call a spade a spade and look for another vendor.

Keep Calm and Manage Family Drama

You might assume that people would be mature enough to put aside their drama for your big day, but unfortunately, you might be wrong. Usually, when people start to have a few drinks, their grievances start to reel in their minds, which can then turn into a big family drama.

You might get heartbroken later that people would choose your wedding day for their drama. So, you and your partner will want to work as a team to try to manage the drama. Also, don’t be naïve to assume that people would be mature enough to let go of drama. You will want to have discussions with your partner about the potential issues that could arise on your wedding day so both of you are on the same page.

Also, talk to the people and tell them your wedding day isn’t for drama, and no drama will be tolerated.
