Looking to score some gold in Phase 3 of the Season of Discovery? Well, look no further! Today, we’re sharing the top gold farms to help you cash in on the new phase. Some methods might require a specific class or profession, but most are available to everyone, so you can jump right in. To get ahead of the game, consider buying some WoW SoD gold to kickstart your farming and get even bigger profits.
So, are you ready to stack up that gold? Let’s dive in!
Best Gold Farms in Season of Discovery Phase 3
Felcloth
Felcloth is mainly used for making Mooncloth and some other profession-crafted goodies. Head over to Felwood, east of Irontree Woods, for the best farming spot and target mobs called Jadefire Satyrs. You can either AoE-farm them or do single-target hits — it doesn’t make much of a difference as the mobs are not too tough. Plus, you can also grab some Runecloth while you’re at it, making for a steady farm.
Essence of Air
Essence of Air is selling for 45 to 60 gold at the time of writing. You’ll find it by farming Dust Stormers up in the northwest corner of Silithus. The drop rate is only 4%, so you might need some time to secure the items. Also, it’s better if you go as a BM Hunter, but other specs work too. Just let your pet tank and keep them healed up while maintaining steady DPS. Keep in mind, though, that this farm relies heavily on RNG, so it’s not a stable source of gold.
Blasted Lands Quest Items
The trick here is to farm items needed for quest completions and then sell them at the Auction. For instance, the “A Boar’s Vitality” quest tasks you with delivering Blasted Boar Lungs, Scorpok Pincers, and Basilisk Brain. In return, you’ll be rewarded with the Lung Juice Cocktail item, which increases Stamina by 25 when used, with the effect lasting for 60 minutes. Other Blasted Land quests like “Snickerfang Jowls” and “The Decisive Striker” have similar requirements and offer items with similar buffs.
To pull this off, you need to farm Blasted Boar Lung, Basilisk Brain, Vulture Gizzard, Snickerfang Jowl, and Scorpok Pincer items. You can find those by looting Spiteflayer, Snickerfang Hyena, Scorpok Pincer, Grunter, and Redstone Basilisk mobs, all hanging out in Blasted Lands. We also recommend having the Skinning profession for this, so you can make some extra profit by obtaining items like Scorpid Scale, Rugged Leather, Thick Hide, and Thick Leather.
Living Essense & Other Felwood Farms
Living Essence and other Felwood goodies are quite RNG-based, with a not-so-great drop rate, but if you’re lucky enough to snag some high-end drops, then you’re in for a treat.
Head over to Felwood and start farming Warpwood Shredder mobs. The Living Essence is the most sought-after item, but you can also get Superior Mana and Major Healing potions, along with a bunch of handy scrolls like Scroll of Strength III and Scroll of Agility III. You might even loot an epic like Lei of Lilies. Plus, there are plenty of useful herbs to gather that’ll fetch a nice price at the Auction House.
Dream-Infused Dragonscale
Dream-Infused Dragonscale is in high demand due to the Ashenvale Mission XII quest, which requires 10 of these scales. Completing this quest grants reputation with the Emerald Wardens, allowing you to purchase items from their NPC vendors.
It’s worth noting that you’ll need the Skinning profession for this. Find Larsera mobs in the Ashenvale Nightmare Incursions and skin this item off of them. Important note: these skins cannot be sold at the Auction because they are conjured, and they will disappear if you go offline for more than 15 minutes. To sell them, head to the gathering spot in Bough Shadow (93.4, 37.8) where players group up for questing. Give a shout in the general chat (it’s better to use a macro to link the item) and you’ll sell them in no time. We recommend doing this farm when there are plenty of active players online to ensure a faster sale.
Formula: Enchant Bracer – Greater Intellect
This farm doesn’t require any Enchanting skills or anything of that sort — it’s completely accessible for any class and spec. The only thing to keep in mind is the mobs you need to farm: Vilebranch Shadowcasters are level 47-48 Elites, so you need to be careful not to pull too many at once. You can find these mobs in the Hinterlands, near Jintha’Alor. There are a couple of chests in this area, and the mobs also drop Wildvine, which sells very well.
Thaurissan Firewalker Mobs
These guys can be found in Burning Steppes. They drop a lot of good loot, but what interests us here is the Pattern: Cindercloth Cloak. Along with Runecloth, consumables, and pretty decent scrolls dropping from Thaurissan Firewalkers, we get a very steady gold farm, even though prices may vary significantly across realms.
That’s all, folks! We wrap up our guide here. Hope you found those tips helpful and got a couple of new goldfarms on your radars. Now go rake in that gold, and see you in Azeroth!
