Shakib Al Hasan Second in ICC T20 All-rounder Rankings
Shakib Al Hasan has regained his position in the rankings of the International Cricket Council (ICC) for T20 all-rounders. The ICC has released the All-rounder Rankings for T-20 on Wednesday. As per the updated ICC rankings, he achieved the second position on the list.
Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi is on the top of the T-20 all-rounder rankings with 294 rating points. Shakib with 268 points. Glenn Maxwell is in the third position with 220 points.
Shakib Al Hasan was banned in October last year for concealing the offer of gambling. On the same day, his name was removed from the Test, ODI, and T20 rankings. The ban was lifted on October 29 this year. So again, the Bangladeshi star came back in the rankings. He returned to the ICC’s ODI all rankings after he returned from the ban.
The ICC had earlier released the updated ranking of the ODI all-rounders on Wednesday. Shakib is at the top of the list with 373 points. Afghan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi is in second place with 301 rating points. Third-placed Chris Oaks has a rating of 281. The four are English star Ben Stokes. His rating is 276.

Shane Williams’ rating has increased. The Zimbabwe cricketer entered the top 10 with 238 rating points. The rest of the top 10 are Pakistan’s Imad Wasim, New Zealand’s Colin the Grandholm, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, Kiwi star Mitchell Santner and India’s Rabindra Jadeja.
Bangladesh had 36 international matches played in three editions in a year. However, in mid-March, more than half the matches were suspended due to coronavirus. Shakib missed 14 matches during the ban. Shakib missed three ODIs, four Tests, and seven T-20 matches in this format.
