“Rest in Peace, Pele”: Argentina’s Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi, the captain of Argentina’s World Cup-winning team, posted pictures of himself and “The King” from better occasions to Instagram on Thursday to send Brazilian football legend Pele farewell.

Messi wrote: “Rest in peace, Pele.”

The greatest player of all time, Messi came up with the reaction after the announcement that Pele passed away in hospital at 82. Football legend Pele died after a fight with cancer.

Alberto Fernandez, the president of Argentina, also paid respect to the late legend.

“One of the greatest footballers in history has left us. We will always remember those years when Pele dazzled the world with his skills. A big hug to his family and to the people of Brazil who will carry him in their hearts.”
