After bringing in a slew of new faces at this year’s IPL super auction, Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting underlined that the players who have been retained now have a responsibility to mentor the team’s younger players.
The Capitals kept four players ahead of the auction — skipper Rishabh Pant, opener Prithvi Shaw, all-rounder Axar Patel, and South African bowler Anrich Nortje — and the coach is doing his best to get to know the rest of the group before the league starts on March 26.
